「We enjoyed staying in a historic place with a very beautiful view of the Douro River. Please note that the only way to get there is by car and the most convenient option is to take advantage of the dinner offered. It should be noted that there is an opportunity to taste very good local wine on site.」

「Great place. We had a spacious suite with a nice river view. Close to a river walk which takes you all the way to the 1st big lock on the Douro. Breakfast came in a box to your room every morning with fresh bread, pastries, cheese, ham, orange juice & coffee. Kitchen was also well equipped. We would definitely stay there again.」

「We booked this stay last minute when another set of plans fell through. It ended up being a fantastic decision. The grounds were beautiful, the pool was great, the food was incredible, and the rooms were very comfortable. The host was excellent, going above and beyond with everything! Honestly one of the nicest people I've come across. I would highly recommend this place.」

「Beautiful surroundings and room amenities. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. We tried the spa and sauna, which was good for a relaxing vacation. Not many dining options around and we stayed in the hotel restaurant for dinner, A bit expensive than average but affordable. 」
