"This was the perfect place for us to stay as we explored the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. We spent time on the beach, had cocktails at the lovely Banana Azul a 3 minute walk down the beach, rented bikes a 5 minute walk away at Pura Rides and biked a 30km beach hopping route to Manzanillo and took tuk-tuks to and from the main drag of Puerto Veijo where the bars, shops and restaurants are. Regarding the house - some standout things: 1) incredible check in process and easy communication with the property manager via whatsapp. It was all super slick and transparent. 2) The pool seemed small when we first arrived but it was the BEST. We went in every day for a nice cool off plunge after hiking, biking and beaching and 3) the location - PERFECT for nice relaxing mornings hearing the waves crashing and just a little 5 minute tuk tuk to Hot Rocks to party or Luna Mays to shop! LOVED every minute!"

"This property is gorgeous, and the staff is fantastic. The free breakfast (which you can also do as room service) was such a nice perk - I will miss the daily fresh-squeezed starfruit juice. We had a fantastic couples massage. I loved that there were several little spaces on the property where you could hang out away from your room. It is a little off the beaten path, but walkable to all of the restaurants and shops. We had a great stay."

"We felt so lucky to have this beautiful home to return to after a day at the beach or hiking! The outdoor shower is ingenious, pool was refreshing, and the yard is plant paradise. The beds were comfortable, air conditioning in the bedrooms was so wonderful at night. We loved spending time cooking outside and listening to the geckos at night. Great communication with the property management company as well. Would absolutely recommend!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Buddha house! It was beautiful, bright, clean and the back yard was huge and lush with greenery. The house was very well equipped, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great. (Tip: To get hot water in the kitchen, you have to run the bathroom sink at the same time, otherwise there is not enough pressure to get the hot water tank working.) It was a quiet location which was a nice change after having stayed in other towns where dogs were constantly barking and motorcycles were ripping up and down the roads. This Vrbo is a 5-minute drive to a black sand beach and 10-20 minutes to several other beaches, restaurants and shops. We got a pin drop to find the place and ended up having to message the host to get the exact location, but otherwise checking in was smooth. Be prepared to share the house with random insects, but that is the nature of places in Costa Rica, as houses are not completely sealed like they are in North America. We had tiny ants in the kitchen and I brought quite a few centipedes back outside but like I said, that's something to expect in Costa Rica. We were only planning to stay 3 nights, but we enjoyed the house and Puerto Viejo so much that we extended our stay to a full week. It was just as nice to lounge around the house as it was to go out and do things. I would definitely stay at this Vrbo again and just hope it will still be affordable when we go back to Costa Rica! It was a phenomenal deal for all that we got! "

"From the second we were dropped off by our shuttle, we were greeted by Sharon & Eric and given a tour of the property and the keys to our villa. Sharon & Eric are so inviting and go above and beyond making you feel extremely welcomed. The villas are beautiful and very well appointed. The grounds and pool are beautiful and very well maintained and the breakfast crew were amazing and exceeded our expectations daily. We loved our time at Villa Piña. "
