“Sauberes Zimmer in einer schön angelegten Anlage. Kleiner, aber feiner Pool. Es werden täglich kostenlose Yoga-Lektionen angeboten. Das Frühstück wird im Restaurant serviert. Neben lokalen Spezialitäten gab es auch leckeres Sauerteigbrot und frisch gebackene Kuchen. Rühreier oder Spiegeleier werden auf Wunsch frisch zubereitet. Das Retreat liegt etwas außerhalb von Puerto Viejo. Mit dem Uber kommt man problemlos zur Hauptstraße und in den Ort. Zu guter letzt: sehr sehr freundliches und……

“Bien que jolie avec une belle terrasse extérieure, cette maison manque d’entretien : porte de placard branlante, 2 lits qui grincent au moindre mouvement empêchant de dormir, un robinet de lavabo déscellé, micro-ondes en panne, porte d’entrée difficile à ouvrir, et interrupteurs difficiles à trouver. Nous avons été aussi un peu déçu de l’accueil froid de la propriétaire, pas franchement à l’écoute et peu prévenante: nous avons certes eu 1h de retard sur l’heure d’arrivée mais personne pour nous……

“Clean room and property. Free breakfast. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom did not have a door but a privacy screen was available to separate the bathroom from the bedroom. Showers took a while to warm up but never got hot, more like luke warm. But wasn’t too bad since the weather was hot and humid. ”

“We were really impressed with this property. Staff were very courteous, helpful and available throughout the day. Great location for walking to Cocles beach and in town. Very good wifi and breakfast. We rented a Motobike from across the road for $25/day which made getting around the area super easy. Would recommend!”

“This is a very peaceful hotel with a nice pool and beautiful landscaping. The town and main road can be overwhelmingly loud and busy at times, so it was great to have a little oasis of calm just outside the main centre. The room was comfortable and well appointed and all three breakfast options were tasty. ”

“The bungalow was private and you can see toucans in your back yard. Isabella is amazing, she helped me order food for delivery in the rain, she helped organize excursions, she helped with bike rentals/organized tuk tuks, and recommended things to do around town/best sunsets. Anytime I am in Puerto Viejo I will stay at Villa Roca de Caribe for sure.”

“Staff was great, casitas were cute, pool was nice. The rooms however are not very sound proof. Other noisy guests there in the pool or nearby rooms can be heard very well. You can hear TV and other noises in the next casita. ”

“This was a girls' trip, and since we didn’t have a car, Maritza’s location was absolutely perfect! The hotel is within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and shopping, making everything so convenient. The daily breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. The property is well-kept, and the rooms have been beautifully renovated. We’ll definitely be back for another Pura Vida girls trip!”

“We arrived and had to wait 40 minutes before anyone would even check us in because there was no one in the office. When the office person finally arrived, Luciano, he was incredibly rude and dismissive. He finally led us to our room after taking more than enough time to check us in. The path on the way to the suite was very dark and I tripped a few times. The apartment had loose bricks leading up to it, even the journey there was unsafe. Once we arrived in our room facilities were absolutely……
