“This place is FANTASTIC!! It's quiet, peaceful, and has incredible views of the mountains. Don't let the drive up intimidate you because it is worth it!! The hosts are so nice and have paid attention to all the details that made staying here special, from the automatic nightlight in the bathroom to the games in the living area. I have now convinced myself I need a small cabin tucked high in the woods because I didn't want to leave. Black Mountain and Montreat are small towns with so much charm……

“This cabin was perfect! It’s private and the natural setting around it is idyllic. Be warned: the paved drive up is STEEP!! But we made it up and had room to turn around at the top even in our huge SUV towing a 5x10 trailer. We baked coffee cake muffins, made breakfasts and dinners here, hung out and watched FIFA World Cup games, talked, laughed, and slept well in our cozy comfy beds. We were within easy access of the town and really enjoyed the antique and craft stores. Fresh Woodfired Pizza……

“We love this place! We have stayed here twice now, once at The Roost and this time at the Shroom With A View, and each cabin offers something different but wonderful. We're already talking about which one to stay at next. If you're a birder, the Shroom cabin sits right on the edge of a clearing and I had a lot of great warblers giving me great views from the deck. We also had a chipmunk come to visit and saw a mama bear with 2 cubs on the drive up! Nature lovers will absolutely LOVE this place.……

“Beautiful home nestled in the mountains with fantastic views! Our family of 9 (6 adults, 3 children and dogs) spent the week here and it had plenty of room! Clean and well-maintained; one of a very few rentals where my husband hasn’t had to repair something during our stay. Communication with the host was a breeze. An unexpected plus was seeing two July 4 fireworks shows in the valley below from the huge deck! We would stay here again ”

“We were looking for a quiet cabin with mountain views and a hot tub that wasn’t toooooo remote and that’s exactly what this is. Property is surrounded by other houses but we only saw one other person the entire time (and one bear minding his own business walking down the street). Check-in and out were low stress and easy. House was nicely kept up and clean without feeling too fancy to be comfortable. Fooseball table and hot tub were fun. Comfortable beds! Appreciated the nightlights for the……
