Luxury Log Cabin with Breathtaking Views

Welcome to Grandfather Lookout!

Nestled atop the beautiful Seven Devils Mountain, Grandfather Lookout is a luxury log cabin offering all you need for a perfect mountain getaway. This home has breathtaking views of the famous Grandfather Mountain, lots of windows, and comfortable deck space to enjoy the mountain setting.

The interior features an open floor plan with hardwood floors, vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings, and modern touches. The kitchen is updated with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, custom cabinetry, and a granite island. The dining table seats 8 and 2 more can sit at the nearby island. The upstairs loft has a game space with a pool table, shuffleboard table, and a card table. Downstairs has a media room with a large TV, a Blu-Ray player, comfortable seating, a dry bar, and a wine refrigerator.

Grandfather Lookout is centrally located in the High Country with nearby access to Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, and Valle Crucis. Nearby attractions include Hawksnest Zipline & Snow Tubing and Otter Falls. Just a bit further away is the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Linville Falls and Caverns, and much more.

Winter Access: From late Fall to early Spring, 4WD and tire chains are required throughout Seven Devils. There is also a steep driveway up to the cabin.

Home had breathtaking views of Grandfather Mountain. It was cozy and provided closeness yet big enough we werent trampling on one another. The kitchen was fully stocked - making it ideal to cook our meals in. Our family started a new Christmas tradition this year and are looking forward to staying with you next year.

THE STAFF AT CAROLINA CABIN RENTALS WERE VIGILANT AND OVER ACCOMODATING REACHING OUT TO TIME WARNER SEVERAL TIMES TRYING TO SOLVE THE ISSUES WITH THE INTERNET FOR THE TV IN THE MAIN FAMILY ROOM.THEY DID THE BEST THEY COULD HAVE DONE CONTACTING THE SERVICES PROVIDER AND UNFORTUNETLY TIME WARNERS TEAM TRIED THEIR BEST AS WELL- I WAS REFUNDED FOR THE INCONVIENCES THE PLACE IS AMAZING - AMMENTITIES IN THE PLACE WE TOP NOTCH AS WELL AT THE DIRECT VIEWS OF GRANDFATHER MOUNTAIN KUDOS TO THE TEAM AT CAROLINA CABIN RENTALSWOULD RENT AGAIN FROM THEM

The home was spacious and lovely. We especially enjoyed the covered deck with comfortable furnishings. The beds were comfortable and the light switches were conveniently labeled. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, but did not provide staples such as sugar. No laundry soap, softener, or tissues were provided and these would have been appreciated.

31st annual Christmas Tree cutting trip

We started out as two, then four(Two Girls). youngest was proposed to at RRR Todd Tree Farm( still together with two kids).Oldest daughter(42) with her girls and her better half. Come in on the day before Thanksgiving. Eat Drink & be Merry. Daniel; Boone Restaurant for breakfast Saturday morning, then off to find our trees. Back to Mast General whether it be Valle Cruis or Downtown Boone. Girls shop, we look for parking spots. The Living room TV was our biggest issue. We were snowed in and couldn't find our shows. Got 4" Sunday night. Tough going down the hills but we're home now in Wilmington. Beautiful Home, View & area. We all loved it. We have stayed in Seven Devils several times but none as great as Grandfather View !

Wonderful place for family

We brought our teenagers and their friends up for the weekend and it was the perfect layout. Our bedroom was on the main floor with the beautiful view from the porch nearby. The teenagers enjoyed the pool table, shuffleboard and hot tub. There was a second living room downstairs giving everyone plenty of places to spread out. The location of the house is central to Boone/Blowing Rock and Beech/Sugar Mountain. All of the area attractions are a short distance away. We will stay here again!

Absolutely LOVED this property! Excellent location, and you cannot beat the view! They’re not joking about needing 4WD. I do not suggest coming to the house for the first time in the dark - you may fall off the mountain. Two notes: 1. Spend some time in the kitchen before you have to cook, and make sure you open ALL the drawers ALL THE WAY. Steak knives are wayyyy in the back of a random drawer - ha! 2. Put your heaviest sleeper in the basement bedroom. You hear every single step that happens above you.

Nice Place with a nice View.

My family and friends stayed for the week and had a good time. House was clean and comfortable and nice view to wake up to in the morning. Driveway might be a little scary if you are in a car or in snowy weather I doubt a car would make it in snow, but that kinda is to be expected. SUV had no issue getting up the hill.
