“The room could use a good thorough cleaning. Layers of dust on ceiling fan. Tile floors were not real clean. Try recaulking around sink in bathroom wiping off baseboards periodically.”

“This property was very beautiful as was the hospitality of Magdela. We would highly recommend staying here. The tranquility mixed with solitude was exactly what my wife and I were looking for. “Skid proof mat and bar handles for bath and shower are needed as we felt a bit insecure. Also, cups/glasses could be available. TV service was minimal but we didn't stay to watch TV, though a local channel for news could have been nice. On the other hand, the room was lovely and spacious; mattress was super bringing about a fine night's sleep.”

“We were blessed to snap up a last minute cancelation at Whale of a View cottage. It was our first time staying on Campobello and we were not disappointed. While the cabin hasnt been updated recently it is clean and comfortable. The kids loved the bunkbeds, tire swing and hammock. We all enjoyed the screened porched and smores around the fire pit. Even though it was cool my wife enjoyed the quiet solitude of the Eagles Nest gazebo for morning devotions. We had two separate whale sightings and the……

“This cottage was the perfect home base for our week away - quiet, private, scenic, comfortable. The one small bathroom might be a bit of an issue with four or more people, but for two of us it was very ample. I'm still enjoying the screened-in porch in recollection - a sweet spot indeed. And we found plenty of exploration to do on the island all week (the trails at the international park were a standout, especially the bog trail and the coastal lookouts). You might want to bring your own……

“We thoroughly enjoyed this lovely house. There was plenty of room to relax. The heated in ground salt water pool was a great spot to unwind at the end of the day. We enjoyed walking to the Lubec Brewing Company and local shops. I would recommend that visitors bring their passports as the bridge to Campobello Island is so close! We hope to rent again next year!”
