Excellent Service and a Great Stay! I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly and attentive, and everything was exactly what I needed. The hotel met all my expectations and made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Based on its description online, this property was less well-maintained than I expected. It felt more like a hostel or what I imagine old boarding houses to be than contemporary lodging. The price and location were “right” for me, though.

We had the most comfortable stay! The room was clean, the staff was friendly and responsive, and we were close to public transportation and plenty of convenience stores and restaurants. Temperature was perfect- we hope to stay there again if we travel to Boston!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful experience staying here. The property was very clean and well maintained. Although some of the facilities are shared, everything was comfortable and easy to use. They also have almost everything you might need available at the front desk, which was very convenient. What impressed me most was John’s incredible kindness and hospitality. Even after I had returned to Japan, he went above and beyond to help me from thousands of miles away. He handled everything with such care, patience, and sincerity, and I was truly touched by his kindness. It’s not often that you experience this level of hospitality, especially after your stay is already over. I would definitely stay here again when I visit Boston. Five stars without hesitation! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The staff was helpful and kind, and the snacks in the lobby were nice to have! We appreciated the price of the room given how expensive Boston is (compared to what we’re used to), and it was a place to sleep while we were there. HOWEVER, the overall condition of the room and entire property was pretty dingy. It wasn’t necessarily dirty, but old and not super well kept (though cleanliness was not where it should’ve been). The bathroom is shared by the whole floor which made showering tough sometimes, but an extra sink outside the rooms helped. There was no soap in the bathrooms except a community bar, so ask for soap if you check in. A good mop of the hard floors and vacuuming of the edges and corners could go a long way. No AC and no screens in the windows. The topper was the little MOUSE friend we had staying in our room. We saw it the first night and by the last night we were there, he and I had a little staring contest. I’m not scared of mice, but I didn’t much appreciate having one in my room.

The inn was a bit run down, but we felt safe and were pleased with the affordability. The beds were comfortable and the area was quiet.
(The beds were made when we arrived.) The carpet was pretty gross. Grafitu on the wall art. Other than these things, the room was safe, comfortable, and quiet.

I was going to walk to the New Balance Track, and asked the front desk man for directions. Rather than give me directions, he walked with me the mile to the track and pointed out good Korean restaurants and breakfast places along the walk. He was superbly kind and helpful (as I’m not great with directions).

The person on staff was very friendly and helpful and kind and really went above and beyond. It was nice to have off street parking and we didn’t mind paying a little extra for it. However, in the room, the toilet was dirty, the sink had little bits of hair all around the bowl, the shower grout was black and in bad shape. There also wasn’t any soap to wash hands in either the bathroom or the tiny kitchen. We were told it was coming, but it never did. There were also cigarette burns on the blankets. I understand this is an expensive area for hotels, but at $200 per night, I would never have expected what we got.
