Great reception and hosts keen to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. As there was a function in the hotel that night we were offered the opportunity to move with our friends to the Katrina Suite, a modern 2 bedroom flat, a couple of minutes away. This was perfect for us and we were able to walk to the hotel for a lovely breakfast the next morning Parking was available and easy.

Okay but too warm!

The hotel was clean and the en suite was quite astonishing, but the room was far too hot, which the staff explained was because of an old boiler. A basic breakfast was provided but none of the tables was laid, which made it confusing as to where we should sit.

Overnight business stay.

A little bit daunting as a solo traveller having to walk through a packed pub most of whom were males. The room I was given didn’t have any bedding on so I was upgraded to a double room. Staff were very apologetic.

Acceptable for a short stay

Pretty basic but nice. Friendly staff and easy check in. Breakfast is a small but sufficient buffet with breakfast sandwiches made to order. Not 5* luxury but more than happy with it for a one night stay

Leider standen wir abends vor verschlossener Tür, da uns der Inhaber nach mehrmaliger Kommunikation vergessen hat den Zugangscode zuzusenden. Das Personal begrüßte einen am nächsten Morgen nicht und aufgeklärt über die Frühstückssitiation wurde auch nicht. Das Frühstück an sich fiel auch dürftig aus und alle warmen Speisen wie bspw. Eier oder Speck waren kostenpflichtig (es lag eine Karte am Tresen aus). Schade

Nice but sort out the drain smell

The bar and restaurant are great and the food is exceptional, one of the best meals I have had! I stayed in Room 15, which I have stayed in before, which is a bit on the small side and could do with a tea making table instead of having to use the bedside table. The worst issue is that on both occasions', the room has a strong smell of "drains/damp" Whilst I would happily stay here again, I would not stay in this room again

Lovely hotel and plenty of parking. The lady who runs it is brilliant and attentive. I've stayed around 10 times. My only issue is with some of the the younger staff girls who are not very helpful when trying to order food/drinks at the bar. They seem to be more interested in chatting than looking after the customers. Saying that, they do a good burger selection!

Did what I wanted it to.

Hotel did what I wanted it to. Staff friendly and helpful, enjoyed my steak in the evening, but rooms at the back of hotel were too warm.

Lovely find.

The bar and hotel rooms was totally spotlessly clean. Beds comfortable, shower amazing. Continental breakfast had a good selection of fresh food and tasty.

Very comfortable room. Eventually worked out that I needed to have the shower cubicle light on in order to turn on the toilet room light! Staff very helpful. Only a buffet cold breakfast available; no cooked breakfast like a full English available. Happy with my stay though and the price, which included breakfast.
