HIGHLY exaggerated
Amazing location, but next time we’ll choose a different place. We were never sent instructions on how to access the property. When requested, they sent a code – it didn’t work. We were stuck in the cold and dark after a long day of travel while the management company figured it out. The smoke detector started to chirp at 11PM. Thank God we were able to find a large pack of batteries in the unit – this must happen a lot. The description of the property on VRBO’s website is HIGHLY exaggerated and the unit is not nearly as luxurious as implied. A hot tub was listed in the title and amenities. I asked the management company where it was since there isn’t one on property. They sent me a link to a site in Hawaii. After several hours and multiple requests, they sent me the resort’s phone number. When a property lists “on site hot tub” in the title and under Amenities, I assume there will be a hot tub on site or available for guests to use somewhat nearby that is included in the cost of the rental. (They have removed hot tub from the amenities list, but it is still listed as an “additional on-site amenity” in the description.) THERE IS NO HOT TUB AT THIS PROPERTY. Guests can go to the resort and pay to use their hot tub and pool ($15/person/day). That’s fine, but it seems dishonest to list a hot tub next to things like washing machine and kitchen under the amenities. Lots of “lessons learned” on this trip. I do know that we will avoid staying at another property managed by Vacasa.
