“Stunning location and wonderful staff”

“Just a one-night stay, but after one night, we wanted to stay a week. The personnel were not just helpful, they were downright AWESOME. Above and beyond. We came in around lunchtime and opted to eat on property. Best decision we could’ve made. The small staff made the most of their culinary skill. The lunch was perfect. Homemade jams and other special touches made it so. Seriously perfect. When we are in town for dinner and had a less-than-subpar experience, we remarked, almost in unison, “We……

“Staff is not friendly or sympathetic towards young kids. Breakfast with flys all over cured meat and cheese - overpriced and unsanitary. Don’t eat here. We were supposed to stay 2 nights and we left after 1 VERY hot miserable night. It was so hot my kids couldn’t sleep and were dehydrated the whole night. Our smallest child was almost to the point of heat stroke. We just wanted to leave as fast as we could and have some sleep somewhere else even though we already paid for 2 nights to tell you……

“The Chateau is well set back from the nearby road and there is no traffic noise. There is lots of parking on the site in several areas. We stayed in the Chateau rather than the more modern accommodation nearby. A lift was available to our room and since it was very warm ,40C, our room had an air conditioning unit, in the room. The room had lovely features and was very comfortable. Dinner in the lovely restaurant was first class. The chef adjusted dishes where appropriate because of my Coeliac……

“People rave about the Dordogne. We had never been but now we know it is worth raving about. Reviews of Domaine De Labrousse are good but it is more than good. It is very special, as are the hosts. If you need a rest, some time to reflect and some beauty in your life, stay here.”

“Nice hotel close to the old town and undercover parking is next door. The room was large and king size bed comfortable. Staff were helpful to advise where to eat and booked a taxi on our check out. Small drawbacks were paper cups for hot tea and combined gel/shampoo in the shower”

“Le Mas des Bories ved Perigueux er det meget charmerende sted i gammel stil med stor have og pool. Ideelt hvis man ønsker at bo på landet i fredelige omgivelser. Vi havde en juniorsuite med stor balkon fint møbleret. Værten er meget hjælpsom og morgenmaden fin. Et godt sted for nogle dages ophold.”
