Our hosts were very kind, and put generous effort into providing delicious breakfasts, giving suggestions about local attractions, and allowing us as much or as little cat time as we wanted. The room we were in was very cozy, with a comfortable bed, and thoughtful touches such as a water kettle for tea or coffee, a small fridge, and a TV setup we didn’t take advantage of. “If you love retro/vintage/history/ quiet and pet friendly this place is wonderful for a short stay and lowkey weekend. So many cool local businesses and delicious food. We went for a show at the stone church- walking distance from hotel! And everything we could have needed was easily accessible. They have a bar downstairs and a movie theatre in the hotel! All rooms have record players and vinyls to play with more available. Big rooms. “Dated” but it’s keeping with the retro style- very clean and……

“Christmas lights on the balcony flooded the first floor room with light all night long. No blackout curtains. Rooms on first floor near front desk were noisy. ”

“Quiet, peaceful, relaxing. Must travel about 15 miles to nearest town. All the basics in kitchen. Bring a few groceries and you won't need to leave your cabin at all.”

“I arrived after dark and the hotel and the village were like a magical New England winter scene with sparkling lights everywhere. The proximity of the hotel to a typical New England church and numerous white painted wooden framed structures was a scene from our historical heritage. The hotel was reopened less than a year ago after extensive renovations. The outcome is a GEM. Decorations deserve an A+.”
