It’s located with restaurants within walking distance. It is well maintained for a historic hotel with probably about 15 steps in the lobby before you get to the elevator. It was noisy some nights due to being in the city and having residents living life. Staff was wonderful. Again location was great to see Buffalo—Niagara is 20 min away, Botanic Garden and Eternal Flame about the same. We enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is part of history. It was a great experience. The building and some of the original features have been preserved beautifully. The theater makes you dream of the glorious days when art was highly regarded. We got to enjoy music played on a phonograph in our room. It was like time traveling to the great Gatsby era 😉

For being a historic hotel this place was nice. Sound machines in the rooms to make up for being on a busy street. Fan in the room to help with circulation. Historic charm in great walkable downtown location. Parking lot was small but there is additional parking in a city lot and on the street.

We enjoyed our stay at the historic Latchis Hotel. You really get the feeling of stepping back in time. The staff were very helpful and provided recommendations on places to eat besides just checking us in. The room was fine and the working record player with records was a nice touch. Parking is about a half block away behind the hotel. Make sure you see the historic Latchis Theater’s main room. It is really amazing and will definitely take you back in time.

We enjoyed the quirky personality of this hotel! You can see the thoughtfulness of the original history combined with the modernity. We played a record in the room while we got ready for dinner. We were able to open the windows and our room was right above the marquee. The room is spacious and we enjoyed the view. This hotel has a lot of character! There is also a really nice cocktail bar connected to the first floor and you can actually go see a movie while you're staying there. I will say that there isn't a lot of sound proofing. So we could definitely hear people in the hall and people shutting their doors as well as the plumbing when other guests ran the shower, flushed the toilets etc. That said, we did still enjoy our stay and appreciated the personality of this place.

The room was clean, bed comfy. Offput by the “urgent” emails asking me to check in before 10 pm, as that’s when the staff leave for the night. Called to confirm we would be there in time after the first email, got two more in the next two hours. Staff was very nice, hotel is dark, rooms more like dorm rooms. Location was good, restaurants nearby. Overall, while we wouldn’t stay again, I’m sure there are those who like the vibe.

This place is a gem. I love and like the proximity to the train station, Brattleboro Food Coop, River Art School and Brattleboro Museum and Art Center, I visited twice: first with my teen son and husband, and the second by myself, and both times were great. There are signs of the passing of time in this lovely Art Deco structure, and that adds to its beauty, Super courteous staff The first time we watched a movie, so if you stay at the hotel, please treat yourself to that or some of their baskets. I missed eating at their restaurant, so I guess next time. My husband loved that there was always coffee for him, and my son loved our mini fridge and microwave. We love the history of this place and how is part of the larger arts and culture scene of Brattleboro

The hotel was very clean and the bed quite comfy. The only downside was insufficient parking. We had to use the adjacent lot but then had to leave there by 9:00 am. We ended up having to buy time to park which wasn’t a lot of money but was a bit of an irritant. Would def stay there again!

Excellent stay in every way. I was vacationing and had a friend along who NEEDED the time away and quiet comfort more than I did. Brattleboro is one of my favorite get-aways from Cape Cod. I'll be back, and I'll definitely stay at the Latchis. Thanks again for a great stay.
