The location was great! We enjoyed looking out over the water. The hot tub was really nice and clean. We cooked a lot and the kitchen had lots of utensils and cookware. The rooms were comfortable.
We had a great time at this property. The log-cabin atmosphere was amazing, and the location and views were wonderful. Thanks so much for a great weekend!
This place feels like home. Great for curling up with a book, board games and bonding with family. I hesitate to say too many good things, tho, or it won't be available for our next trip.
We had a wonderful stay! The beach is so fun and the house worked well for us! It was in the mid-high 80s and with the owner's guidance on keeping it cool, it stayed comfortable. The owner is very quick to respond to any questions and concerns. The little welcoming touches were appreciated (sugar in the sugar bowl, plenty of dishes, lots of fans, etc).
Dave was easy to communicate with, even at the last minute. A huge thanks to Dave for accommodating a last minute ask for friends who had lost power after a recent severe storm in the PNW.
Space is perfect for large group of friends and family. Great location not far from Seattle, making travel easy for all. We loved the water views and kayaks!
My wife and I came from Montana and met up with 4 of our adult kids and their families...16 in all to attend a mariners game. We all loved it. It was clean, cozy and plenty of room for everyone
We had a lovely time! Only wish we could have stayed longer! Plenty od room for family, friends and the pups! Nice big kitchen and living room areas. The solarium is wonderful and the hot tub is a nice extra. We had fun roasting marshmallows un the fire pit. The shallow inlet stays warm enough to swim in, even at the end of September. Beautiful views with your own beachfront fun!
This was a fun little getaway for our Woodinville family. We kayaked and hot tubbed, every day. The weather pranked us, instead of being the usual hot August, we got a cool drizzly spell, but the solarium is where we hung out, because it was still toasty, even with the cool weather. We also brought our smaller dogs, who enjoyed the fully fenced yard. It reminded us of my grandparents’ cabin back in MN. We had a great time!
We had a fabulous time - Mom had all of her children, their spouses and grandchildren all together for the weekend - all she wanted for her 70th. We played cards, puzzles, kayaked, firepit, pool, lots of food and drink. So much love and laughter!
Highly recommend
Had a great reunion with friends at this group friendly property. Lots of great gathering places in the main house, the game room, and the sunroom. Plenty of spaces for quiet reflection, reading, or a cup of coffee as you watched the wildlife all about. Our group enjoyed the outdoor fire pit the most as we re connected each night over a beverage. Excellent and responsive owner/host who replied to inquiries promptly and gave us good advice for catching the ferry into Seattle. Nice stay for us!
We had a wonderful time with our adult children and their girlfriends/spouses. The place was clean and the kitchen well stocked! The house is "rustic" and we would joke that it was a step up from Boy Scout camp. We loved the old house and appreciated the newer building too! This is a great place for a laid back family gathering. Not fancy or new but definitely charming and quirky. The solarium was great for dinner and games. We would definitely come back again!
First impression is the spacious inside where there was room to accommodate everyone comfortably. The house was clean, well stocked, great attention to detail, fabulous views and perfect in every way. It was a perfect place to sit back and relax. We did all our own cooking and found all we needed was provided. It was also easy access to the ferry and Seattle for out of owners who wanted to do a bit of sightseeing. Thank you for helping us make lots of memories.
A great out of the way location. Great view of Dyes Inlet with seas and herons. Beautiful sunsets. Good kayaking ar hi tide. Easy access to local parks, Bremerton, Poulsbo, Silverdale and Port Orchard. Worked out great for 8 adults and three dogs with the additional guest house. Lovedi being able to pick pears and plums just feet from the house. Dave the host was readily available.
The property and general house was great! Not sure what you have going with the septic. That is definitely a problem that should be addressed. However the extra house and beach properties were a great fit for our family. Brought back many wonderful memories of living on the beach in Gig Harbor
We stayed here for our big family vacation. Two parents in their 50s, a bunch of 20 somethings, and two small children. The house is very old and funky, but we liked its character. The view out the back and the ability to do different things (kayak, paddleboard, firepit, hot tub, walk around) was great. We chose this area because it was reasonably close to Seattle by ferry, Mount Rainier, and Olympic National Park. Owner Dave is top-notch. Timely communication all throughout the trip and even came to the property to help with an issue. Highly recommend.
We had a great time with family and friends for a four-night stay. Plenty of beds/bedrooms and a very comfortable house. We especially loved the solarium, it rained a lot while we were there and it was so nice to sit in there doing puzzles or playing games and hearing the rain! We weren't able to use any of the kayaks due to the weather, but we did see some cool birds, ducks and a few seals also! Hot tub was in superb condition and we loved roasting marshmallows for the one night it didn't rain:) Dave, the host was super communicative and it was a super quick and easy drive from Seattle.
We had so much fun staying here! We spent a lot of time looking at wildlife out on the water. The hot tub was broken for most of our stay which sucked because sitting in the tub looking out at the view was incredible!
If you are planning on doing any cooking maybe think about bringing things you REALLY need like a sharp knife or a spatula.
They had almost everything but have just seen a lot of love (:
Kayaks and paddle board were great!
Sitting in the solarium was so peaceful!
We would def come back
We had a diverse age group of family from ages 3 to 71! Our Michigan family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed this vaca venue being on saltwater; kayaking; low tide shell discoveries and first time trying fresh steamed manilla clams. The house and guest house was remarkable for being almost 100 yrs old. What a fun experience. Weather was absolutely great; and we were able to watch the Suquamish Tribe harvest clams on this venues tide lands!! Dave, the host, was great to work with. We could have used a couple more rolls of TP for the 14 but we made it work!! We'd love to stay again some time.
This charming log home and bonus huge bedroom and playroom accommodated our three kids & grandkids comfortably. We wisely hedged our weather bet by ensuring indoor options, but happily had two good days that satisfied our hopes for hot tubbing, beachcombing and kayaking (3 and a rowboat came with the property). Seals, bald eagles and shifting tides balanced convenient urban entertainment. Appliances and mattresses were all new, TV and internet were excellent when we weren't kayaking or enjoying the atrium, playing pool, ping pong, playing cards or enjoying an evening before an outdoor fire. The owners were responsive and flexible, and everything was kept up and well signed. One of our best for a large family!
