Beautiful cottage

The cottage was in a wonderful location - perfect for exploring lots of the main attractions. It was great to be able to use the boat and canoe on the lake - so peaceful. Gijs was a great host - friendly and welcoming.

Scheendijk ZUID No2 Breukelen, 6-to-13 Apr 2019

My wife and I stayed in the "De Koolmees nature house" between 6 and 13 April 2019; this is the smaller of the two accommodations available and can sleep up to 3 people (a twin and a single bedroom). Gijs and Ying Yi, the owners of the accommodation, are fantastic hosts; they are extremely welcoming and attentive to your every need. The accommodation had everything we required, plus a lot more! The accommodation is conveniently located just outside Breukelen (2.3Km / 1.43 Miles, about a 5 minute drive), a very picturesque town that has a Market every Friday; it is very conveniently located to access Amsterdam and other local attractions, of which there are many. The Road system is good. Do be aware that the Supermarkets in Breukelen don't generally take Visa; we couldn't use either our Visa Credit Cards or Visa Bank Debit Cards to pay for shopping in either the Jumbo or the Albert Heijn (AH) shops, and you should confirm with the shop that they take your preferred payment method before starting your shop. Supermarkets in Breukelen state that they do take MasterCard, although we are unable to confirm use of a British MasterCard, since we don't have one. We did make a stop at a Lidl that was in the vicinity (but not in Breukelen), which did take Visa. We had no problem using our Visa Credit Card at Museums and attractions during our stay in Holland, and there are plenty of Automated Cash Tills to obtain cash from. Most shops in Breukelen town are shut on Mondays, although some are open for part of the day. We both enjoyed the fabulous view over the meadow opposite the accommodation. There was a large amount of wildlife to watch (we saw deer, Geese, Swans, Ducks, Herons, and also a Buzzard that is nesting in a local tree close to the lake). We spent a lot of our early morning, late afternoon and evening time watching the wildlife, helped by a pair of Binoculars kindly loaned to us by the owners. The only thing that has stopped us giving the accommodation 5 Stars is the fact the stairs that lead up to the top floor are quite steep with a tight turn at the bottom, and have to be taken with care. We loved our stay here, and highly recommend it if you don't mind the steep stairs; we would stay here again and would recommend it to our family, although we would try the larger of the two accommodations available if our group was larger. Nettes kleines Häuschen, ca. 2 km von der attraktiven Ortschaft Breukelen entfernt. Es liegt an einem kleinen Kanal und ist direkt mit den Lotrechter Plassen verbunden. Ideale Lage um mit SUP und/ oder Ruderboot die unzähligen Inselchen zu entdecken.Das Haus ist ideal für zwei Personen. Die Gastgeber sind ausserordentlich nett und sehr hilfsbereit.

Perfekter Urlaub

Ruhe und Erholung

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in dem kleinen idyllisch gelegenen Häuschen sehr genossen. Das Häuschen war hochwertig und komfortabel eingerichtet. Es war vollständig ausgestattet (Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler, Kaffeemaschine usw.). In der Küche hat nichts gefehlt. Von der Stube und der Terrasse hat man einen super Blick auf die Wiesen. Wir wurden herzlich mit Blumen und einer Flasche Wein empfangen. Die Treppe und der Schlafbereich ist etwas eng. Die Lage ist für Fahrradtouren bestens geeignet. Wir würden es wieder buchen

Sehr schönes Häuschen

Das Häuschen ist klein, sehr liebevoll und klug eingerichtet und liegt wunderhübsch und günstig - man ist schnell in Amsterdam, Utrecht etc.. Die Vermieter sind ausgesprochen freundlich und unkompliziert. Wir haben unseren Urlaub dort sehr genossen.

Sonnige Tage in Holland

Wir haben eine schöne Woche in traumhaft ruhiger Umgebung erlebt. Zu dritt war es nicht zu eng. Die Terrassen rund ums Haus waren auch bei etwas Wind einladend. Die Gastgeber sind supernett. Die Nähe zu Utrecht, Maarssen und dem netten Städtchen Breukelen per Fahrräder oder Amsterdam und Delft mit dem Zug hat uns sehr gut gefallen!

Nous avons utilisé nos vélos pour découvrir les abords, aller à Utrecht entre autre. Notre kayak pour naviguer . La maison est située sur un « bras d’eau » où sont entreposés les bateaux . Dans la maison il y’a tout ce qu’il faut, l’escalier d’accès aux chambres est pentu. Il y a un lave linge et sèche linge.

"De Koolmees" im Mai

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Zeit verbracht. Natur pur. Die Wildgänse und Enten hatten gerade ihr Jungen, für uns aus nächster Nähe zu beobachten. Gegenüber der Terrasse - Naturschutzgebiet. Leider haben wir die Fahrräder nicht mitgenommen. Einen Mangel haben wir zu beklagen. Es waren die Matratzen, sie waren durchgelegen. Sollen unbedingt ausgetauscht werden. Die Unterkunft ist für Naturliebhaber zu empfehlen.
