This home is in Sherwood Forest. 20 minutes to downtown Brevard. It is also an hour from south-west of downtown Asheville, an hour to Asheville Regional airport. 45 minute drive to Greenville, South Carolina.

Description:

Welcome to Pine Hill nestled in the heart of Sherwood Forest. This is a place where you can make memories in luxury.  This modern well-appointed home has a grand room, which features vaulted ceilings and large windows that maximizes year-around sunshine. The kitchen truly is the heart of this home, with all modern appliances and kitchen tools that will allow you to entertain with ease.

Enjoy spacious bedrooms, and a master bedroom whose bathroom has a jetted tub. There is an open deck out back that has a picnic table and gas grill to enjoy an evening meal with the family. Lots of amenities to appreciate not only in the home but also in Sherwood Forest.

Fall in love with the magic of Sherwood Forest and enjoy all it has to offer. This enchanting area includes more than 20 miles of hiking trails with meandering streams and gentle waterfalls. Explore and see if you can find the old stills! Enjoy fishing on five lakes, swimming in a heated junior Olympic pool, play tennis, and golf on an executive course where the hazards include wildflower beds and an occasional llama caddy. No gates, no worries, just peace and privacy.

Also, be on the lookout for white squirrels!

As your host during your stay, White Squirrel Realty is easy to reach by text or phone.  Each home is supplied with fresh, professionally laundered linens and supplies to make your stay comfortable.  Our cleaning crew is local, paid a living wage and are trained so that you can enjoy your vacation in a clean home.
Confirmed guests will receive a text message to the cell phone on the reservation with a link to the essential information you need to enjoy your stay like the door code and the directions.  The digital guide book has information on the property and also on the area including restaurants, grocery stores and popular destinations.  Guests can go straight to the property at check-in time.

The cabin was great with some charming Christmas decorations . The furniture was nice. I didn't like the kitchen appliances including the stove and microwave. Needs some updating.

A Great Get Away in a quiet, yet active community

We loved the grill on the back deck, the kitchen which had everything that we needed and the hikes around the property to hidden waterfalls. What more can you say, it was very comfortable for our family of 5- great floor plan!

Very nice, clean, well designed home.

Everything was excellent except the mattresses. Both the king bed and queen bed have very soft unsupportive mattresses. To some this may seem like a minor complaint, but when you are 66 years old with a marginal back, it is important.

Very spacious, all rooms decorated very well, super comfortable. Loved the sunroom! Kitchen well stocked, lots of towels in the baths. My only negative would be all the stairs to access the house- not a huge problem for us but might be for others. House had internet but no cell service but landlines are there if you had to make a local call. It also would have been nice if more info on Sherwood Forest trails would have been readily available in the home. I would recommend this home to anyone!

Find peace and tranquility in the Sherwood Forest at Pine Hill

We had an amazing stay at Pine Hill. The pictures do not convey the warmth, beauty and tranquility of this home. The house is immaculately maintained. All of the furnishings and finishes are in perfect , like-new condition. The house is fully equipped with everything you could need and more. The kitchen is well stocked as are all three bathrooms. There are many movies, books to read and CD players for music. There are notes throughout the home giving instructions on how to work everything. The home has lovely rustic decor and very comfortable furnishings. The hard wood floors in the main living spaces add warmth and charm. The stone fireplace in the living room is dramatic and beautiful, and our favorite space to relax was the attached sunroom with beautiful vaulted ceilings and skylights. The Sherwood Forest is exactly as advertised. Every home is encased in mature foliage so that there is complete privacy. Miles of trails, several small lakes and peace and quiet made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. You can hike right from the front door without having to drive somewhere to take a great walk. The community is located about 9 miles from downtown Brevard. However, there are a few quaint markets and local restaurants within a few minutes of the property so no need to go into Brevard for everything. A few pointers to help future guests: This house is literally in the forest with a beautiful, natural forest view (not a mountain view if that is what you are looking for). Also, in case the house water or hot water heater is turned off when you arrive, the lever for the water is in the basement ( there is a key in the kitchen) and the switch for the hot water heater is in a wall panel in the laundry room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home and highly recommend the property.
