“Communication and customer service was great. We were instructed.clearly on how to get there, we were able to get to our cabin after the office closed with no issues. The lodge was very cute and very clean. The pool and pool area was also kept clean and the staff at the restaurant was very friendly. Quiet, laid back, and beautiful at night.”

“I thought I knew I was getting with Antelope Lodge, a clean room with functioning amenities for a budget price. The upside down dead cockroach in the bathroom was a bummer, as was the non-working television. Is $87/night too much to expect for a room with no dead cockroach, a working tv, and an actual human at the front desk to help you fix the tv? Yes, apparently, according to the faceless, anonymous owners of Antelope Lodge who left no help phone number. How much effort would have been……

“I'll be honest Willow House is part of why I committed to this trip. I saw it online and thought, this alone is worth going. And I say that as someone who has been burned by listings that oversell and underdeliver. Willow House is the opposite. The photos do not do it justice. The decor, the style, the way everything fits the landscape. It's minimal desert architecture done exactly right. Not only was the design thought out and intentional, but they clearly thought through the entire experience……

“This hotel is definitely past its prime but for the price, it provided a bed for the 7 hours of sleep I required before checkout. The best part of my stay was being woken up by the smell of breakfast being made by Casa Guame right next to the hotel. The two burritos were some of the best I’ve had in a long time.”

“The location is only 4 minutes drive to Big Bend which is a big plus for us. We stayed there 4 nights, and the host is responsive and keep the trash in our room cleaned every day. The check in and check out thrue texting is also convenient for us because we check in late and check out early thanks to the smart door lock. The layout is practical and in room appliances (microwave, fridge, hair blower) are also help us staying in there for easy breakfast and dinner. Overall, I recommend this……

“We enjoyed our stay at the very charming Holland Hotel in Alpine, Texas. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants and enjoying the beautiful days there.”

“Was only a dome with a speaker and dirty socks under the bed and a port-a-potty. There was no chairs or places to sit under the stairs or a fireplace I felt like I was roughing it. Way overpriced considering what is was. I would not stay again ”

“Property was beautiful, and so was the surrounding area. Porta potty closest to our dome was not remotely clean at all, but the one 20 feet away from it was so it was no big deal. The first night was great, (other than getting bitten up) and then we woke up and made breakfast and left for our hike. When we got back to the dome, i attempted to make dinner and realized the area surrounding our food bags was being infested with ants that were getting through the cracks where the wall met the floor.……

“Both room and hotel were very clean. My room was a little be noisy due to next to working space and dining area. Except that everything is very good to me.”

“The continental breakfast was depleted by 9 o’clock when it was supposed to continue until 930. Food had to be brought back to the room to eat as there was only one small table in that area, no TV. There is also a spider on the floor of the room that was the size of a tarantula No extra blankets or pillows were available in the room and the bed was very uncomfortable, the mattress was so old it still has springs in it. The check in was completed by a child. Very overpriced.”
