"Balcony with view was amazing with the fall colors-a bit noisy due to room location. Rooms were large-comfortable beds however the sofa was very uncomfortable. Breakfast buffet was terrible-service was poor - the hostess was more interested in texting on her phone and eating French toast from the buffet rather than doing her job sitting people and informing them of the process and options available for breakfast. Despite advertising personally made omelette bar we ordered the buffet only to find it was not open! Would have been nice to know this prior to ordering. The buffet was scarce with very few options and not replenished. The hotel was and still is advertised as IGH hotel however I was informed that they are no longer IGH but Lake Placid Club so don’t look for points!"

"We stayed at Trailhead while we visited the Trolls at the Wild Center. For our purpose it was fine. There was a grab and go breakfast, a Keurig in the room as well as a mini fridge. The beds were comfortable enough and the bathroom well-stocked and clean. We had some difficulty with the room overheating even when we thought the heat was off, but it was okay. The paint could use some touch up, but overall we were happy with our accommodations. Thank you Trailhead."

"For such a new hotel, the mattresses are too soft and need to be replaced. if you're on the third floor you may have to let the faucet run for awhile before you'll have hot water. This hotel is in a wonderful location and except for the mattresses, is well maintained. The view from the window was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and attentive."

"Room was clean, surrounding area was beautiful. Convenient location. Good shower and TV . Very basic accommodations, not fancy Only complaint is that we would have felt safer with another lock on the door. Only lock was keypad deadbolt, which barely went into the door jam."

"The space was perfect for our needs. The mini fridge in the room was very handy, and the shared kitchenette space was a nice touch. We really enjoyed the mix of vintage and new! The room was right out of central casting, but updated with a really nice shower and sink and TV availability. It was super close to the downtown of Saranac Lake, and we could walk to a nice hike."
