"No wi fi available. . Room basic, with bed ,1 plastic chair ,1 plastic stool no sofa. No amenities apart from a Kettle, no cups but were given.2 paper cups and t and coffee when asked at reception. 2 bath towels but no hand towels. Tiny bar of soap and 2 sachets of shower wash. Bed rock hard and very uncomfortable. When stripping bed in morning, to save cleaners a little time , discoverd why we were pulling at the quilt all night...it was a single quilt sideways in a king sized cover! Also found 2 large stains that looked suspiciously like blood on it. Only good thing was we got free parking when registering our car. Man on reception was friendly"

"Positives - Rooms good size, swimming pool and gym, Starbucks on site, plenty of parking Negatives - Hotel food including breakfast cold and undercooked. Charged £12.50 for breakfast for a toddler. Rooms not fully cleaned full of dead moths. Moths flying around everywhere. Staff not helpful."

"Very good place to stay on a budget. Excellent breakfast and in general everything you need for a short stay was there. The lady who looked after me was very friendly and made herself available if needed. "

"Breakfast was very good. Almost everything was gluten free or could be made gluten free in the kitchen for my partner which is quite rare in hotel stays, so that really made things great, and the staff were very helpful and quick. The room was nice and comfortable, exactly what we were after."

"Very welcoming staff. Rooms clean , functional but very tired, holes in curtains and bed linen. Hot water in bathroom and very quiet accommodation. Dinner was expensive for what it was, asked for green veg and hot cold broccoli. Breakfast minimal but fresh. Reasonable price but hidden cost of paying to park. Would be much better for a little renovation "

"We arrived at hotel a few hours before check in and I was not informed by reception that the spa was being closed early at 4.30pm due to maintenance work. When we checked in at 3pm we were then informed by a different member of staff the spa facilities were being closed early at 5pm, the spa actually closed at 4.30pm. We spent about 45 minutes in the spa before closing. I was not informed of the early closing of the spa facilities by email or phone as I spoke earlier in the week to a member of staff regarding my booking. We were annoyed and upset as we booked the hotel for my 65th Birthday specifically for the spa which we were led to believe was closing at the usual time of 7pm. We would therefore have booked another spa hotel if I was aware of the situation. The customer service was very poor and we were not happy at all."

"A pleasant and relaxed stay in this comfortable hotel. Staff very attentive. Good a la carte dinner and substantial breakfast. Quiet surroundings. Shame there wasn't better views of the grounds but that is the layout of the house."
