"This is a great location, walkable halfway between town and the Bay. We stayed in the terrace suite on the 5th floor, which has a balcony area with views over Cardiff. Lovely pool and good selection at breakfast. Car parking was £16 for 24 hours. Would definitely stay here again"
"We got a suite with a king bed and a sofabed in a connecting room. Both rooms were clean. AC operational, a must during a heatwave.
The one down side was only q out of the two elevators were working."
"Room was lovely and clean. Wonderful air conditioning that was really appreciated in this current heatwave!
Staff were very friendly and accommodating from check in to breakfast to checking out
Enquired about leaving our luggage at the hotel before check in, as we arrived in Cardiff at around 11.15am and was really surprised that we were allowed to check in and a room was ready for us.
This made such a difference to our stay. We were able to freshen up before going out to explore Cardiff.
The breakfast was delicious and such a great choice.
We checked out after breakfast and left our luggage with reception who locked it away for us.
More exploring of Cardiff and then back to the Marriott for lunch in Brown's restaurant before getting the train home.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel"
"Average hotel - the rooms are tiny! I checked in during the heat wave and the AC in the room was broken. Breakfast was below average!
Staff on the other hand are super nice and friendly!"
"Room was clean beds were comfortable shower which was a wet room for was excellent very easy for my wife to use
Bad point was the complete lack of plugs anywhere near the beds meaning I had to get out of bed and cross the room to turn my alarm off.
We also had the breakfast which wasn't very good burnt bacon and unhelpful staff when trying to order a drink as they didn't seem to want to make a coffee from the machine instead directing me to the mostly cold offerings on the continental breakfast table.
I would stay again just get breakfast elsewhere"
