Perfect holiday home

The apartment was everything we imagined from the listing. The rooms were large and airy. Despite the hot weather, there were enough windows to keep a gentle breeze flowing. All the equipment we needed was available. The garden is so beautiful and we were really grateful that we could host family there for an evening meal. Manor and Ann were perfect hosts. The apartment is ideally located for trips out to a number of beaches and other attractions. We would highly recommended it and hope to be back some day.

A warm welcome to a delightful apartment

Housekeeper's Quarters provided us with just what we needed when meeting up with old friends. It is spacious and gave us plenty of room to sit, chat and catch up. It is well equipped, extremely comfortable and warm. We felt at home immediately. Ann's cherry cake was waiting for us in the kitchen along with good bread, butter, milk and tea. The house has a beautiful garden which we roamed around. Must be great in the summer. Nether Stowey has several pubs - one which serves food. We ate there and at others in nearby villages. There are plenty of recommendations in the folder in the sitting room. Thank you Ann for looking after us so well!

We had a fantastic stay at the Old House. The cottage was cosy, clean, spacious and as described on the photos. We could feel at home. We were a family with 2 teenagers. There was also a big garden full of beautiful flowers. The children even played badminton. We didn't use the barbecue despite great weather because we were too exhausted after busy visiting days ! The owners were very helpful : first they waited for us until 11.30 pm ( plane delayed...) and then on the next day Manor gave us a map and instructions about what to visit and see. Thank you so much ! Nether Stowey is a nice small village ( with very convenient shops and pubs ) and a good location to discover North and West Somerset. ( Exmoor, Dunster, the north coast ,steam train, Taunton , Minehead, Wells, Cheddar... even Bath) I definitely recommend the Old House if you want to spend relaxing holidays in a beautiful cottage.

Cozy flat in a lovely period property

Lovely warm welcome from Manor on our arrival, with a very kind introduction and a walk through of our accommodation. The flat in the large attic space was lovely and in the heart of the very quaint village. Light and cozy at the same time and had everything we needed for our short but enjoyable break

Well recommended with welcoming hostss

Very friendly welcome in a beautiful cottage with lots of history and character. Village location great, local shops and good pubs nearby. Manor and Ann made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Comfortable home in a beautiful location

The Housekeepers Flat was so comfortable and well equipped, it was home from home. Stairs a little challenging for the knees when carrying the luggage up, but no problem the rest of the time. The flat is very quaint with little nooks and crannies. The garden was a real haven of beauty and tranquility. Thanks to Manor and Ann for making our stay such a lovely break after being locked down at home..

Half term get away

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home. Manor showed us around the property and was very welcoming, thank you for the biscuits, they were lovely. He gave us lots of information about where to go to eat, to walks and visit. The accommodation was amazing, very quirky, homely and very big. It was set in beautiful grounds. Spacious and interesting accommodation in a lovely village.

We stayed in the house keepers quarters for three nights. Everything we needed for our stay was provided, by the helpful hosts including reccomendations for eateries and walks. There was a very comfortable bed and excellent cooking facilities. The rooms are all large, light and airy, but were plenty warm enough without using the supplementary heating provided. Lots of stairs to get to the accommodation and steps within the property, make it unsuitable for people who are less agile. The location is excellent with Quantock walks close by and many places of interest within a short drive.

Large apartment so plenty of space for just the two of us! Well equipped, nice modern kitchen and use of the large and very beautiful garden. Ideally located for both the north coast (Severn Estuary) and the south coast just 30 miles to Seaton. Moran and Ann are wonderful hosts.

Beautiful location and perfect stay.

A perfect stay from start to finish. We are were a party of two adults and two children (13 and 10). We were going to arrive later than planned originally, we informed Manor and Ann who said no problem and accommodated us with no issues at all. Communication throughout was exceptional. The property itself is large, with everything you would need inside it. The living room is lovely, warm and cosy, perfect for an evening in. The kitchen had everything we needed, with a lovely dining set for family meals. The garden is lovely, really beautiful and well maintained. We had a great time exploring and looking for wildlife in the local area. Nether Stowey is a charming village close to local amenities and attractions, I would recommend a car to get around though. House Keepers Nether Stowey

Booked fairly late on as base to visit parents , do some college research and have a few days holiday . Looked good on line and was not a disappointment. Lovely setting , great village with all necessary amenities including brilliantly stocked shop. The accommodation was clean and well equipped and had a very relaxing atmosphere. The owners Manor and Anne , were very welcoming and helpful during our stay . Cooking facilities were more than adequate and we ate in most nights. Location was very good with visits to Devon and Dorset just as accessible as Somerset. All in all it was a very good choice and we had a great time.

Summer break

Fantastic find! Lovely surroundings, smartly furnished, well-equipped kitchen, board games for the children in case it rained and a badminton set in the garden. Large garden with space for the children to run around but also space to relax and unwind and even do a barbecue. Easy access to lots of walks up onto the Quantocks from the village itself. Well stocked local shop and good pub food at the local pub in walking distance. Would definitely recommend this as a lovely place to stay and hope to return in the future.

So very welcoming!

We have had the most lovely stay in House Keepers, from being made to feel so very welcome on arrival the little touches mean so much, set in such beautiful grounds. Facilities and apartment were everything you could want and more, the most fabulous shower and such comfortable beds. Lovely village with perfect pub food so no need to travel. Situated within fabulous countryside, reasonable driving distance of so many fantastic attractions, any help or suggestions you need just ask Ann & Manor, the greatest of hosts, nothing was too much trouble! We have so much more to see. A huge huge thank you for a wonderful break, just sorry it was over so quickly.

Very comfortable, roomy and quirky accommodation

Everything we needed. Owners helpful and always available if there were any queries. Only thing missing in the kitchen was a pair of scissors and oven gloves, but very clean and tidy accommodation in a lovely village with a good pub!

Wonderful

Beautiful property with wonderful gardens and loads of space to enjoy. Very close to so many places of interest-whether it's shopping or historical attractions or AONB's, there is so much to keep one busy...or not-relax in a lawn share and soak up the sun!
