The worst hotel
The cleaness of hotel is extremely poor. We just stay one night but we found at least four cockroach in the room! They appeared on the bed,wall and above the refrigerator! It is a terrible experience. I do not recommend this for anyone. The bathroom is also very small and the another worse thing is there is no hot waterfor bathing! I believe hot water and cleaness is basic requirement for hotel. The Cliff House really disappoint me.

Expedia should take this place off there sit photos look nothing like what they are at all lacking parking not knowing if your in the right park and if your car will be towed away or not felt dirty very loud as u can hear doors all night shutting and slamming and can hear up stairs toilets flush and flow over your head do your self a favour save your money and sleep in your car also didnt feel safe leaving anything in the room while was not there

Needs an update and a cleaning. The staff were happy to help out to fix issues as they arose, however (TV remote wouldn’t work, light burnt out). Always found a parking spot when coming home at the end of the day but often it was the last spot!

Photos are obviously very old as the place/rooms are not at all as advertised. Dirty cups in fridge on arrival staff did provide clean very quickly and were very apologetic

Very different to photos. The floor’s cracky, paints on the walls peeled off, table sticky, and dirty bed sheets. Strongly do NOT recommend.

The property was well located but really a backpacker venue. The taps were loose and I am not sure what was going on in the front room but I suspect it was a business venture.

Stayed here 2 nights over Aus Day weekend during the Gabba cricket test. Yes the rooms are old and run down. Yes they are a bit dirty and smelly. It was $70 a night. a comfy enough bed and a shower. You get what you pay for. If you can deal with a run down room I reccomend this for the value and location. If you are expecting for $70 a flawless hotel without issues. go elsewhere

How to review this without offending but factual? 1) security- rooms are open passage with no external security door means randoms can walk in off the street looking for the room with the stuff No safety chain on the door very flimsy Bunnings door lock At least could push the bed up against the door to provide some level security 2). Dirty AC - wish could post the photos of the filters and AC unit Has never been serviced or cleaned Since checking out I have developed a painful chest infection which may be a result. Have emailed photos and complaint to the hotel, no reply or acknowledgment!!! Other issues but these the main ones Never again 😡

We stayed one night 14th Dec 2023 (checked in 4pm, visit the city from 4.30pm to 11.30pm, then checked out 6am next day), King Bed Room 102. This is our experience during that time. You cant phone the property, no one answer the phone nor return the call. So you dont know and cant get any info until you go there. Once we went there The Owner/Manager (Chinese Nationality?) was very helpful even though he found it difficult to speak in English. He tried his best. In a very packed condition, the room had one king bed, cloths cabinet, small fridge, water heater Jug, Hair dryer, toilet/showers, tea/coffee/sugar, cups/soccer/plates, shampoo/conditioner/soap, and towels. Quality was average, but ok for the price $100, cleanliness was average (closer to the poor), we saw cockroaches, Bath room/toilet was not that bad, It took a while to get hot water to the showers, Air Con was noisy/vibrating. Window blind to the toilet/bathroom was broken so was not possible to close properly (other side blind wall?) Noisy when people walk in the adjacent corridor, open/close doors, feel bit insecure as the gates/doors are open always to the outside road. No one to look after you during after hours, you are all alone. Doors/locks/windows are not that great, that you can depend for your security. Only support will be 000 if you survive until they come. But, honestly, we didn't have any idea about the safety in that area. We didn't notice anything suspicious. Outdoor Microwave was handy.

Perfect location to access the Gabba and the city from the South. Great staff - friendly and helpful And perfect safe parking round the back. Can't beat this place for price and location.

The property was nothing like the photos, it was unclean, the bed was terrible, broken window shade, no cups, only 1 glass, fridge door had to be forced to close. Smelt like cigarettes. 3 disassembled smoke alarms in hallway. Shower smelt when turned on. Could see light into the hallway through the door jam. Felt unsafe. Only stayed one night as we arrived late and checked out first thing next morning as couldn’t stay there any longer. Would not recommend!!

The Cliff House was in a great locaton for us, walking distance to where we needed to go, however the facilities were a bit poor, airconditioner leaked, shared facilities were filthy.

Plug sockets were missing their covers, AC machine didn’t work and was wired with bare wires showing, fridge in the room was disgusting, the only decent part was the shower.

Staff was excellent, it is great to stay 1-2 nights. You can hear everything in other rooms. Only annoying issue was the damp towels and damp bed. The owner’s should invest in better tumble dryers.

I helped a friend book a room here and I was told room was not in same condition as picture. I think the place need some renovation and makeover. I felt a bit embarassed for making the booking and not being helpful to my friend

Did not even get the same room that i booked. Room was so filthy. Rubbish was left by previous guests. Someone's toe nails was left on the sheets. Spoke to the manager about it, he was so rude and abusive. Did not wanna do anything about it and was blaming the expedia website and said we can leave the room and can get half refund. Are you freaking kidding me, how the hell we are gonna find a room in last minute. Seriously, mate if you don't like your job get the hell outta there. If it was me i would've fired you on your first day. I stay in hotels quite often never had to deal with anything like this. This was the worse experience ever. Will never go back there. Go anywhere else but don't book you stay there.
