THE SPACE
This comfortable suite has a private bedroom with a queen bed. The separate kitchen with a dining area is exclusively yours & a restful floor mattress can be set up for a third person in the dining area if needed - there is a bedroom door to allow for privacy.

Your suite also has a private bathroom with a tiled shower, and loads of extra towels. (Your hosts provide a few extra blankets too!)

Your kitchen has a table for meals and a gas stove for cooking, along with assorted pots, pans and cooking utensils. The kitchen also has a full-size refrigerator, a toaster, an oven and a microwave oven. There you'll also find a separate pour-over coffee making system with lots of very good coffee, along with a selection of top quality teas, plus makings for hot cocoa and hot & cold cereals. You'll also find juices, small bottled waters, a lot of milkettes (single serving half-n-half's) for your coffee or cereals, and more!

In your private attached bathroom with shower there are travel necessities such as toothpaste, dental floss & safety razors. There is even a small sewing kit - which in fact saved a bride's dress one fine day! :)

There is excellent WiFi - but no TV - so plan to relax, read or take your coffee out to sit on your deck to enjoy the breathtaking views which include rocky outcroppings, sea stacks and sandy beaches all along the coast.

In the evening take a glass of wine, or a bottle to share, and watch from your private deck as the sun sets below the horizon of the truly majestic Pacific Ocean.

When you get up in the morning put on one of the freshly laundered robes with slippers provided by your hosts and relax into your day.

GUEST ACCESS
Guests have full access to everything in their suite, as well as the enchanting courtyard with a splashing fountain and the back yard (AND WE'RE NOT KIDDING!) with the best ocean views in southern Oregon. :)

Guests also have access to a common area "Quiet Room", but please note that, as in a library, NO TALKING AT ALL is allowed in the "Quiet Room" because:

> (1) The sound of conversations in the "Quiet Room", including whispers, will carry into an adjacent guest suite where people may be trying to rest; and

> (2) Talking in the "Quiet Room', even in whispers, interferes with guests who may be reading or meditating.

Guest's right to quietly enjoy their privacy is absolutely respected at all times, so please honor these few simple rules.

Harris Beach State Park is just a short walk from the property (or a one minute drive) and the sandy beaches, tide pools and rugged coastline there make it delightful to explore.

The magnificent driftwood covered beach at the harbor is just five minutes away, and its only a short drive to scenic rivers & giant redwoods.

Also:
*If your car leaks oil or other fluids please park in the gravel area in front of the house. *Your hosts love them, but pets and service animals are not allowed due to allergies. *Guests are required to sign a disclaimer/ liability release on arrival due to the property being located on a cliff above the ocean - thanks for understanding.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Your hosts are in the process of building an exterior wall along the road, with gated access. That construction is well removed from your suite. This note will be removed when the wall is completed - so if you reading this there is still a bit of construction going on.

ABOUT YOUR HOSTS – by Barbara

Patrick & I were (and still are!) grateful & amazed at the good fortune that came our way when we acquired two 'diamond in the rough' coastal properties on the Southern Oregon coast that are right next to each other. Both sit on their own cliffside acre overlooking the vast Pacific Ocean.

We did not plan on being BnB hosts - it just sort of happened - but we are glad it did because we are always delighted to share these amazing properties with our guests.

I was recently retired from a job in the medical field and Patrick had sold his real estate office when, in March of 2019, we found the coastal property we now live in while we on a road trip through Southern Oregon.

The house that is now our home had been on the market 5 years as part of an estate sale & it needed a lot of work, but we loved it the moment we saw it. **We made the best offer we could afford and our offer was accepted! The separate guesthouse that came with it became our first BnB.

Then in 2022 our elderly & very kind next-door neighbor, a widower, decided to move to Portland to be with family. His circa 1950 house also needed a lot of work. We were experienced hosts at that point and we knew the location and layout were absolutely perfect for another BnB. **So Patrick worked out a deal with the seller that included some seller-financing and we bought it. Then we put in granite counter tops, tiled showers, redwood decks, heated floors, bigger windows and much more.

Our objective was to create a magical space where people can come to relax in quiet comfort with lots of privacy & stunning ocean views. It worked out perfectly and now we love sharing these magical side-by-side properties with our guests!
