“No communication about how to get in until I asked so we were stuck outside for half an hour. It was freezing when we got in. Put the heating on straight away and it took about 5 hours to warm up as many of the windows need replacing and two of them are so broken they won't shut. The whole place has a cheap feel, bad bedding, not enough pillows, fridge noisy. I'm glad we only had one night booked. It was fairly clean. Lots of things offered on the website didn't exist, like printer or internet……

“The property is lovely for families. We had 15 in our party for our Wedding Celebrations.We chose this house for its facilities and because, our family members were flying into Heathrow and driving down from the Midlands.We played Football, Tennis Basketball and Hide and.seek on our first night. We prepared and, ate a meal at the table. The beds were very, very comfortable. On Saturday we went into Maidenhead.for.the Wedding Ceremony but spent the afternoon eating, relaxing in the garden, the……

“Conveniently located to attend local festival. Accommodation was clean, well equipped and ideally suited for our needs. Hosts were helpful and friendly. Would stop again.”

“The house was a good size but very tired and scruffy. Given the price, the furnishings should be in better shape...curtains half hanging off the rail, no shower curtain in the downstairs and master bath, and sofas that were old and needed replacing. The garden didn't look like it had been attended to for years. The check-in communication was not well-coordinated within the booking team. This could be a beautiful property if given the love and care needed.”

“Very lovely setting and garden in the mist of a sheep farm. Charming hosts. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return someday. Cutter's barn was most pleasant and we had everything that we needed for our holiday. Hostesses Duncan and Diane are most friendly, helpful, and happy to tell us about their sheep farm. Outdoor farm pet kitten Phill and sheep herder puppy Cox were very friendly. At night the stars were super bright and plentiful.”

“We have had a wonderful stay at The Old Rectory, beautiful house with wonderful facilities and the pool was amazing. Staff are all knowledgeable about local history and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the main hotel which was lovely and again we felt so well looked after. We highly recommend Hartwell House, beautiful old buildings with so much character and the grounds are spectacular. Thank you and hope we are lucky enough to return again. ”
