Bude is a five minute drive by car and there are local bus services available and a bike link from Widemouth to the Bude cycle path. There are a number of restaurants cafes and a local shop all within walking distance. You will not be disappointed by the spectacular walks along the cliffs north and south of the Bay with various footpaths and bridleways that also head inland.

Whether you prefer long walks along the sandy shoreline or the fun of the numerous surf breaks, Widemouth Bay has it all. A multitude of pubs, restaurants, cafes and ice cream parlours are all within walking distance and have something for all tastes and budgets. There is a village shop with a fish mongers for those hankering for locally sourced sea food.
