Fort Myers Burroughs Home and Gardens Hotels

"Our non smoking room stunk of smoke when we arrived. People were smoking outside of our room and the smoke was being sucked into the room by the air conditioner. Also smelled like smoke was coming into the bathroom through the vent. We did not have bath towels when we arrived. We asked for bath towels and were told they would bring some to our room. None were brought to our room so we had to go back to request bath towels and we're given some towels. What we received were one bath towel, one hand towel and one bath mat. People were outside talking and smoking all night long. I woke up and heard them outside talking at 12:30, 1:30,4:00 and 6am. The bathroom needed work as there were cracks in the calking. Bugs were getting into the bathroom. We checked out and didn't stay the second night because of the issues. We should be refunded our payment. "

"The hotel’s location is amazing! The hotel itself is old and in need of room renovations. The rooms were generally clean, but the carpet was filthy. We started wearing socks after noticing how dirty our feet were after walking on it, but quickly advanced to shoes as the socks turned completely black. We stayed for nine nights and had to ask for supplies and for our room to be cleaned twice while we were there, otherwise I don’t think they would have acknowledged us beyond check-in. Also, the vending machines on both the 2nd and 5th floors of the east tower took money but didn’t give change (or at least the right change) and didn’t always give the product, either. We would love to stay there again because, again, the location is convenient and the views were wonderful, but it really needs new carpet and updated appliances (micro and mini fridge). "

"Check in system did not have free breakfast on my reservation, despite being included. Hotel was filthy, and smelled of mold. AC unit was running, but room was very hot. Breakfast was truly revolting, food legitimately turned my stomach. There are multiple signs that say that gratuity is not included in breakfast, but it’s a self-serve buffet. Wish I could give 0 stars, will never stay here again."

"We had a enjoyable stay here. The host was very good. The apartment was well setup and clean with a comfortblebed. The heated pool was great,perfect temp. Great location in Fort Myers close to The River Districk, Ford Edison Estate and shopping. We would recomend a stay here and will be back next year. "

"We enjoyed the home very much. It was well stocked, very spacious and clean. It had a nice big yard and the location was perfect.The hostess was very attentive to our needs and when we had a problem with an appliance she jumped on it quickly.We will stay here again."

"The staff and hotel location were perfect could not ask for anything else. It was concerning that on one of your busiest weekends you had one person working breakfast. He was taking orders, cooking, running the food, bussing then washing the dishes. He had a great attitude and did a great job but as a company not fair to him or your guests. Our room was spacious and clean but water was hard to regulate. It was either very hot or dropped out cold. Also you have holes cut in the walls to run wires and no covers or patches. The rooms did not feel complete. Again staff and location was excellent but room and staffing issues stop me from giving you a higher rating. Thanks. "

"Ice Machine was broken and no help getting ice"

"The room was very clean and nicely decorated. It fit our needs well with the 2 bedrooms. We felt like the owners may have been new at renting... there was dish liquid provided but there was no way to dry them-no dish towel (even though bath towels were provided) or dish drying rack. There was a garbage disposal but we could not find a way to turn it on. There were three sinks and only one container of soap. Coasters would have been nice to protect the furniture. Also, the wifi information given to us was incorrect-the wifi they provided us wasn't even an option. We did contact support and finally received the correct information but it took us an hour.. that's frustrating after traveling all day. "
