The Rustic Anchor is a serene haven nestled between Houston, Round Top, and Austin. Surrounded by lush landscapes, guests can enjoy serene views and occasionally encounter local wildlife. From playful critters outside to unexpected visitors inside, the retreat is a haven for nature lovers. The property is diligently maintained, with regular pest control treatments applied after each stay to ensure a pleasant environment. While guests may occasionally spot remnants of these wildlife encounters, they are reminded of the unique charm and tranquility that this retreat provides.
The Rustic Anchor ensures easy access to all the essentials for a successful fishing excursion. With a bait shop on the premises, you can rest assured that any forgotten supplies can be easily obtained, allowing you to focus on enjoying your time on the water.

This is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of nature with its two bedrooms with an open concept kitchen and living room. It has two bathrooms connected by a pocket door. One bathroom has just a shower and the other bathroom has a shower/tub combo. The house also has a large laundry room. The front door and patio door have are operated by keypads.

The house and patio area are available to guest of the Rustic Anchor. The On the Lake Bait Shop is open to guests Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Monday 7:00 am-1:00 pm. The bait shop is right through the patio gate and down the walkway. Please note that due to our distance in the country side WIFI can be spotty at times.
