“Cheap price for a room for the night but the rooms are in quite poor repair and are in desperate need of refurbishment. There are areas of widespread damage on the walls especially in the bathroom and the shower drains incredibly slowly. The doors bang when they shut so if you have late returning neighbours that may wake you and while there is a chain on the door, there's not a double lock which I don't personally like. That all said, the bed was comfortable and the price was low. For the……

“The staff could not have been more helpful nothing was to much trouble. Could do with a lift it’s a long way up stairs with cases to the very top floor”

“Couldn’t fault the room and staff at check in/behind the bar. Breakfast let the stay down, waiting nearly and hour for 4 easy breakfast (beans on toast, scrambled eggs and pancakes) and when it finally arrived it wasn’t very nice at all, we did wonder if the scrambled eggs had been dropped on the floor and scraped back on the plate- it looked so bad. Such a shame as the rooms were lovely, very clean and the pub is lovely. I would stay again but wouldn’t be rushing back to have breakfast here.”

“The room was a good size and spacoius, large bed with good facilities, the only thing that let it down was the smell from the drains, but that could be to do with the hot weather we’ve had recently.”
