Das Haus entsprach exakt der Beschreibung bzw. hat diese sogar übertroffen. Nicht nur, dass die Küche toll ausgestattet war. Es waren auch wirklich scharfe Messer vorhanden. Die Betten waren super, weder zu hart, noch zu weich.Der Kontakt zum Vermieter lief ausschließlich über die Fewo-App. Auf alle Fragen erhielt ich sehr schnell ausführliche Antworten.Von mir gäbe es nur einen kleinen Verbesserungsvorschlag: Wir hätten es als angenehm empfunden, wenn es vorab per Mail oder in einer Hinweismappe im Haus zusätzliche Infos bzw. Tipps gegeben hätte. Um die Haustür abzuschließen, bedurfte es eines kleines Tricks, den ich auf Nachfrage innerhalb von Minuten per Message erhielt. Auch die Hinweise zur Heizung vorab wären hilfreich gewesen. Und besonders gefreut hätten wir uns über Restaurantempfehlungen oder andere Tipps zur Umgebung.Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche in Cahersiveen und würden diese Wohnung jederzeit wieder als Ausgangpunkt für Ausflüge am Ring of Kerry empfehlen.

Typisch irisches Kleinstadt Haus in schöner Lage

Alles in allem ein sehr schönes Haus das gut gelegen ist um Ausflüge in der Kerry Region zu machen. Alles war sauber und ordentlich. Nur die Betten könnten ein ticken breiter sein. Die Duschen sind sehr ungewöhnlich und machen einen Höllen Lärm. 😉 Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit in diesem Haus.

Empfehlenswert: Ruhige Lage an der Marina und schnell im Ortskern

Nettes 2-stöckiges Reihenhaus fast am kleinen Yachthafen (80 m Grünfläche dazwischen). Im 1. Stock 2 Bäder mit Toiletten und 2 Schlafzimmer. Prima Matratzen. Unten Küche, Ess- und Wohnzimmer mit Ausgang zum asphaltierten Hinterhof mit großem Tisch, Stühlen, Wäscheleine. Wir hatten gutes Wetter und konnten immer draußen essen. Waschmaschine und Tiefkühltruhe sind auf der anderen Seite des Hofs in einem seperaten Raum "versteckt", was wir leider erst nach einigen Tagen erfahren haben. Klassische und moderne Einrichtung wechseln sich ab. Gut ausgestattet. In der Umgebung wird bei kühlen Temperaturen mit Torf geheizt, was empfindliche Menschen an alte Braunkohlezeiten in Berlin erinnert. Lage sehr ruhig, trotzdem in 3 min. auf der Hauptstraße. Cahersiveen ist ein lebhaftes Städtchen mit allen möglichen Geschäften, Pubs mit Livemusik (the Anchor), guten Bäckereien/Cafés und einer eigenen Whiskey Destillery. Ein leckeres Fischrestaurant (O'Neills Point) ist mit dem Auto in 10 min erreichbar. 2 gute Badestellen (Cuas Crome und White Strand Beach) ca. 5 km entfernt. Ausflüge nach Valencia Island und den Cliffs of Kerry absolut lohnenswert. Die Kommunikation mit John hat gut funktioniert, seine sehr freundliche Mutter Margret stand für Fragen im Nachbarhaus zur Verfügung. Empfehlenswerte Unterkunft!

Amazing

Our stay in Cahersiveen was absolutely fantastic. We were within walking distance to Main Street, a grocery store, and what my husband and I consider now our “local’ pub. Everything was clean on arrival, and our host as more than gracious. We absolutely fell in love with the area. Also, there is a lot to see and do around the Ring of Kerry area.

Best area of the ring

A great position from which to explore both the Ring of Kerry, Valentina Island, and the ring of Selling. Unforgettable views within walking distance, and more just a short drive in almost any direction.

Direct Access to Scenic Ireland

Perfekt um den Ring of Kerry zu erkunden!

Objekt liegt in absolut ruhiger Lage an der Marina von Cahersiveen. Sehr netter Empfang und Einweisung. In dem Haus ist alles vorhanden was das "Urlauberherz" begehrt. Wenn gleich die Bäder ein wenig klein sind erfüllen sie doch ihren Zweck. Alles in allem reicht die Unterkunft für 2 Personen aus.

Top Ferienhaus!

Eine der besten Ferienwohnungen, die ich je hatte! Es ist einfach alles vorhanden, was man braucht, um sich im Urlaub wie zu Hause zu fühlen! Alles ist sehr sauber und das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Ein stilvoller Mix aus Moderne und schönen alten Möbeln. Wlan funktioniert perfekt. Die in den Wohnraum integrierte Küche ist sehr chic und komplett ausgestattet. iAlles funktioniert. Die Eltern des Vermieters wohnen nebenan und sind sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen. und sehr darum bemüht, dass man sich wohlfühlt. Besonderer Dank gilt vor allem Magret Die Privatsphäre wird dabei aber absolut gewahrt. Zum Vermieter John bestand jederzeit ein guter Kontakt. Cahersiveen ist ein Ort, in dem man wirklich Ruhe und Erholung findet.Alles, was man braucht, ist vorhanden. Kleine Geschäfte, verschiedene Restaurants (sehr gutes Seafoodrestaurant!), ein Bäcker, ein Spar und ein gut sortierter Supermarkt, der Super Valu am Ende des Ortes, mit dem Auto in 2 min., zu Fuß in 10-15 min. erreichbar. Es gibt auch einen guten Fahrradverleih. Ich hatte ein brandneues E-Bike. In und um Cahersiveen gibt es interessante historische Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besichtigen, z. B mehere Duns, die schloßähnliche ehemalige Kaserne The Old Barracks, eine weitere tollle alte Schloßruine und natürlich die unvergleichliche irische Landschaft: Man hat einfach alles: Fluß vor dem Haus mit Marina, das Meer mit Sandstrand oder mit tollen Felsenklippen und Buchten, Berge und Wald. Besonders zu empfehlen: Ein Ausflug nach Valentia Island, Portmagee und ein Bootstrip zu den Skellig Islands. Ich hatte für eine Woche nur ein E-Bike. Deshalb habe ich meine Unternehmungen auf die nähere Umgebung begrenzt. Mit dem Auto kann man natürlich noch viel mehr unternehmen und den Ort als Basis zur Erkundung des Ring of Kerry nutzen.. Aber zur reinen Erholung hat mir das, was ich unternehmen konnte, völlig ausgereicht. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Wonderful experience

This rental is one of the best we have used. So convenient to many beautiful sights in southwest Ireland. The owner and his Mom, who lives next door, are very attentive. The welcoming gifts or food and drink were great after a long day of driving. The apartment is clean and so comfortable. Hope to stay again.

Tolle Unterkunft direkt am Ring of Kerry

Wir (zwei Erwachsene und zwei Teenager) haben eine sehr erholsame Ferienwoche in dem schönen Haus von John verbracht. Das Haus war sehr sauber, als wir ankamen. Die Räume sind gemütlich eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet. In der Küche war wirklich alles vorhanden, was wir für das tägliche Kochen gebraucht haben. Das Haus bietet einen schönen Ausblick auf einen kleinen Hafen. Es ist sehr ruhig und friedlich gelegen. Direkt vom Haus aus kann man wundervolle Spaziergänge unternehmen. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für viele schöne Ausflüge am Ring of Kerry. Vielen Dank an John und seine Mutter Margaret ( sie wohnt direkt nebenan), die uns sehr freundlich begrüßt haben und uns mit Rat und Tat behilflich waren. Sehr netter und umkomplizierter Kontakt!

Absolutely lovely home away from home!

This was a perfect home base for all our family adventures. My family of four was so comfortable here. It had everything we needed. It was spotless when we arrived. Comfy beds. Even a bottle of wine and a few things in the fridge. Highly recommended! Thank you for a delightful stay!!!!

A fiend and I have just returned home after our annual Irish holiday We stayed at Johns property in Caherciveen for a week. It is very conveniently situated as it is only a short walk into the town and is on the Ring of Kerry. It is very quiet at night and has a lovely view of the harbour. John left us wine,milk,bread, butter,tea & coffee. His mother Margaret was very kind and helpfully. She even hung out and brought in our washing for us so that we could get on with touring the area. The property is lovely and clean, comfortable beds, good wifi connection and good TV channels. Hope to return again in the not to distant future Thank you for making our holiday so enjoyable

Comfortabel en sfeervol ingericht.

Cahersiveen is goed uitgangspunt om Kerry te keren kennen. Dichtbij zijn Valentia en uitstapje naar Skellig Islands. Ondanks haar ligging aan de ring van Kerry, is het niet overdreven toeristisch. Er zijn leuke restaurantjes om s’avonds gezellig te eten.

Wunderbare Unterkunft im Herzen von Caherciveen

Die Woche in diesem Ferienhaus war einfach fabelhaft. Schon allein das herzliche Willkommen durch die Gastgeber, die zu unserer Ankunft das Feuer im Kamin angemacht hatten, lies uns zu Hause fühlen. Die Einrichtung ist sehr schön und es mangelt an rein gar nichts! Dazu kommt die Nähe zur Town und somit den Pubs und Geschäften. Und die Marina ist just um die Ecke... Wir sagen Danke und kommen sicherlich wieder.

Welcoming modern apartment in charming Cahersiveen, Ireland

We found this place after searching around the West Coast of Ireland for a home base. It was ideal for our family of four with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We were welcomed by the neighbor who gave us a complete tour and instructions as well as recommendations for restaurants and shopping. We were able to explore the Ring of Skellig, Valentia Isalnd (stunning), and John helped us make reservations with a reputable boat captain to visit the Skelligs. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow us to get out there but we could see them jutting from the sea. The apartment itself had everything we needed including a washing machine. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen and dining room were neat and modern with all the necessaries for making our own meals. It's a short walk from just about everywhere in town which is charming as can be. John and Margaret (the neighbor) were easy to reach and just plain kind and generous. The area is gorgeous with lots of stunning views. I highly recommend this appartment for families.

All We Could Hope For

We spent 84 nights here and everything about the property was wonderful. Well furnished, well equipped, comfortable furniture and beds. Perfectly situated at the marina in a village halfway around the Ring of Kerry. Ideal location for exploring the Iveragh Peninsula. Margaret, the mother of the landlord, lives next door. A delightful woman, she could not possibly have been more solicitous or caring. Try as we might, we have absolutely nothing to quibble over. Loved our three month Irish home!

Adequate.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the area and the accommodation proved to be comfortable. Well provided for in the kitchen and lounge area although it was difficult to get the TV working . Bedrooms were fine if a little small. Pity the shower could not have been repaired before we arrived but we did manage with the one bathroom. Many thanks to Margaret for looking after us. Overall a most enjoyable stay.
