Caldera Hotel with Pool

"The property is obviously 20 + years old. It needs a refresh or remodel. While it was fairly well kept, there was quite a bit more mold in my room than I anticipated. I know it is a hot and humid location, but the mold was excessive. There was excessive hair in out towels and on the bathroom floor as well. Service levels varied across the property. Some employees were very engaging while others avoided interaction at all cost. "

"The location was great, the beach was beautiful. The room had extensive water damage and smelt like mold. The pool was dirty - milky water, stunk, and lots of tree debris. Lots of parking which was great and we could use the amenities while waiting for our room after an early arrival. The restaurant food was great - only with a reservation - but the buffet was not. We will not return. "

"We had a very pleasant stay overall. The location and views are beautiful, the room was comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Just a small suggestion for improvement: it would be good to keep an eye on termites in some of the wooden areas and to make sure the jacuzzi water stays hot enough. Other than that, everything was great and we really enjoyed our stay."
