The views from the house are drop dead gorgeous, and the location far up on the slope means that there is little noise or traffic to distract a peaceful afternoon or evening. The location does demand that you navigate very steep, narrow, winding roads that definitely took some getting used to. "My partner and I had a great stay! The apartment was lovely and hosts were very responsive to our messages. We arrived late at night and they kindly came to meet us at a nearby supermarket so that we didn’t get lost in the dark. Cake, wine and fruit bowl were provided which were all delicious. "Saccharum hotel is a really special place. It is a small paradise that has an infinity pool with an ocean view, amazing gardens, indoor pool, great staff, and really restaurants with amazing views of the ocean. It is located very close to Calheta sandy beach. It is highly recommended if you would like to have a calm and picturesque stay in one of the most beautiful hotels in Madeira. I will definitely come back here again. "
