"My family and I were only staying the weekend for a competition. We didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for a hotel room. We saw the reviews and thought ok, This will be fine. Little did we know we were DEAD WRONG! Our first room had empty beer bottles in one of the drawers and the bathroom door was locked. The second room didn't have a lock on the bathroom, what looked like a shart stain on the mattress and a mouse trap beside the bed, our third room had a horrible smell. We ended up leaving the hotel all together. I understand that you get what you pay for, but all I ask for is at least a clean room!"

"We loved our stay at the cabin! We spent everyday enjoying the outdoor fireplace, walks around the mountain, & sitting on the porch. Neighbors, Jane & John, joined us near the creek one day. They shared a little history about the area & invited us to check out the local stores. We will be back for another visit in the near future! Thank you to our wonderful hosts!"

"This house was exactly what we needed, a home away from home. Everything was great, it was clean, comfortable and quiet. Sitting on the deck listening to the water in the stream was so relaxing, not to mention the hot tub. We will be back here. Thanks again Jackie! "

"Loved our stay here! It was in a great location for hitting some fishing spots along the creek and very clean! Bed and furnishings were comfortable and kitchen stocked with what you need :) Hot tub was immaculate and communication was great. Not too far from Boone for day trip, but you're down the mountain and it felt like you were away from everything in the best way! "

"We will definitely use this property again in the future, it was perfect for our family! The kids enjoyed the fire and creek. My husband and I enjoyed the peace and serenity of the quiet and being around nature. We had several deer cross the pond early in the mornings while we ate our breakfast! 10/10 recommend "

"We had a quiet and relaxing weekend. The hosts were available if we needed anything and were responsive to questions. We had everything you would need in the cabin (cooking supplies, toiletries, extra blankets, etc). We liked that it was not too far from town and there were plenty of places near by the explore. It was nice to be able to walk around the property as well. We would stay here again. Thank you for the retreat!"

" Pictures need updating. Some furniture is different and missing. Bushes & trees are over grown. But overall we enjoyed our stay. "
