Our arrival was during massive flooding & a declared state of emergency, but the host, Mike, said it was fine. We arrived to discover no running water. I reached out to Mike who said "That's strange" and pretended it was running just an hour ago when the cleaner was there. Mike had no clue what was going on and offered zero insight. As evening was approaching and we didn't want to spend the night with no water, unable to even flush toilets, I let him know we would wait 30 minutes for an update, then we were leaving and expected a refund. Mike did not provide an update. No indication ANY help was on the way. He said he called the water company but got a busy signal. That's it. So we left. On the way home, we booked a cabin in Hocking Hills, Ohio so our vacation time was not wasted.Mike now claims the pipes froze in between when the cleaner were there & when we arrived. In the middle of the day. He is a liar. If you have a problem, Mike cannot be counted on. And if the pipes did freeze in the middle of the day, they would surely freeze again in the evening when colder. Mike works for Seburg Properties and doesn't care about guests, he is there to make and is refusing a refund!Sure "things happen" but this property was never made ready for our arrival. No water is not a minor inconvenience. We've rented properties throughout the US and Caribbean for YEARS and I have never written a negative review until now. Also, house is smaller than looks & NOT secluded.
