“The cabin, a house really, was easy to find. Very cute inside and out. By far the cleanest rental we’ve ever been to! The kitchen is well stocked and great for cooking. The living room was comfortable and relaxing. It’s nice to have a dining room that’s not overcrowded with other furniture; we spent many nights there playing games. It’s also very nice having two showers! And a laundry room. It’s rural and quiet, but so close to everything. We also enjoyed a fire and the hot tub. The neighbors……

“From the homemade cookies and buckeyes to the snacks and well stocked pantry and bathrooms this place was one of the best we have ever visited. Highly recommend!”

“The cleanliness and location of the cabin were great! My only recommendation would be to add a dish washer and blinds on the windows. The host said there was a camera facing door, but it was located on the side of the house at the fire pit which made us slightly uncomfortable. Overall, we had a fantastic weekend and would definitely go back.”

“We’ve stayed in many rentals over the years and this one was the cleanest, most thought out place we’ve ever been. You literally only need to bring clothes and meals. There’s shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, detergent, softener, toilet paper, paper towels….and the list goes on. There was not one time I thought “I wish the cottage had this.” I could have camped out on the heated bathroom floor with the chocolate chip cookies and been a happy camper. :) My 17 year old……

“This house was so lovely! Very comfortable bedding, great amenities, thoughtful hosts, and beautifully decorated. If you rent a lot of homes, you know the furniture and bedding and cookware are not often quality. This house felt like home. It was cozy and petty and thoughtfully appointed. We will be back!”

“We had a great weekend at this cabin. Perfect location - far enough away from others but close enough to all of the attractions. Host was informative and responded in a timely manner. Cabin was clean, as described, and exceeded our expectations. Bedding and bath towels were high quality, and very comfortable. We would recommend an anti-slip bathtub mat, or something similar, for the shower as it was pretty slippery. Overall our stay was a 10 out of 10 and would definitely stay here again.”

“The house is small and cute. Beds are comfortable. The bedrooms have no closet or dresser but a metal stand with hangers and a couple of shelves. Since we rented for 2 weeks it was hard to manage our stuff. Additional hooks in the bathroom would have helped with hanging towels. The place is dark - could use a light on the desk. It needs some cozy touches like pillows for the couch and maybe a throw. That said, I would rent again as it was very convenient to the workshop place. Owner was……

“This was our second time staying at this property and it was another perfect visit! The house is spacious and is wonderfully cared for. Very clean, nice furniture, plenty of extra towels and blankets. We loved exploring the little trail out back and watching the herons build their nests. We will absolutely be coming back again!”

We had a great time exploring German Village (The Book Loft, Staufs coffee, Katzinger’s deli, Schmidt’s Sausage Haus, Lindey’s-highly recommend for dinner date night, Schiller Park, shopping at Tiki Botanicals, Vernacular, Helen Winnemore’s, the list goes on)! “Property is cut but could use some love. Definitely needs a new cleaning crew. Obvious carpets not swept. Beds very comfortable, shower has decent water pressure. No soap in shower or kitchen sink. No blow dryer. No book with instructions had to request wifi code. Master bedroom carpet VERY stained. Back porch light broken. Front door threshold very bent and dangerous. Throw in living room needs washing. Dead bugs in the silverware drawer. I wouldn’t stay again until it gets an upgrade and new……
