Weekend stay

Beautiful view of trees and close to Hocking Hills. Our family loves to cook and although the kitchen was small it was perfect for our weekend getaway. The fireplace area was also very nice and we even saw some deer in the late afternoon nearby!

Beautiful place

I loved the scenery it was such a beautiful stay. The cabin was very clean. The only downfall is no service but i wouldnt rate that because overall it was an excellent stay.

Woodland Cabin Getaway

The cabin was very cozy and secluded, with a few other properties along the private road. A great place to relax and get away for an enjoyable weekend retreat!

Great weekend getaway

Wonderful spot, hidden in the woods. Make sure you have all wheel drive, which they do warn about. Host was very awesome and responsive! Would recommend!

Perfect Getaway

My nephew said “This is my fantasy cabin! This is what my minecraft world would be!” We all loved hanging out around the fire at night. It was close to Lake Logan and other Hocking Hills highlights. I wish we stayed longer!

Perfect for adults as well as kids. Plenty of space to spread out and everyone enjoy themselves. Hot tub was clean. Only downside was there were not TVs in the bedrooms so all the kids migrated to the living area to sleep

Absolutely amazing!

The initial cabin I rented had an issue with the hot tub. Chelsea messaged me in a timely manner and offered to move me to another cabin, this one being much larger, at no additional cost. Her customer service was above and beyond and I am looking forward to book through Venture Cabins again!

It was perfect for us!

I don’t really have any complaints. These cabins aren’t brand new, but I thought it was updated nicely. Did get a few ants, but again, it’s a cabin in the woods. I give it 5 stars. I would stay again!

We camp and are laid back so we had a great time. The property is nice. Chelsea was very helpful and responsive. Why the 3? Cobwebs, dirty windows, debris and dander under sheets on mattress pad (no bugs), no sink stoppers to do dishes, no curtains in one bedroom, full outside trashcan, odd smell. I’m in VRBO’s 6-8 times/yr. None of the niceties of samples, common supplies, etc.

The cabin was clean and easy enough to find however not as secluded as as we expected from the listing and there was light construction going on at a couple of places near us and we were hearing saws and hammering quite often. Also the deadbolt on the deck door did not work however that did not really bother anyone. Now the good news is when it was peaceful it was near perfect.

It’s ok

The house needs updating. Needs better cleaning, there were cobwebs on the ceilings, the hot tub inside was full of sand, the windows were dirty, the outside lights didn't all work. Overall a good place, and if these points don't bother you, then this is a good place for a family holiday. But for such quality the price should be lower.

exceeded my expectations. nicely laid out and decorated. some minor issues with lights not working in the hot tub, or only a few lights operational on some string lights on the deck. some dust/cobwebs on the ledge above the living room windows. other than that, no musty smells, no brown well water in the shower/sink/toilet...felt very private and would stay again.

Nice for a hiking weekend in Hocking Hills

The property looks just like the listing pictures. Linens and towels are nice and beds are soft and comfy. We didn't use the hot tub but peeked in and it was clean. The kitchen has enough of the basics, cups, cutlery, dishes, pots. If you need something specific you should ask ahead because its just the basics, but it worked for us. We also enjoyed the fire ring. The reviews that talked about the hill made too much of it. It is steep but short and plenty of room to avoid the ruts that might give a car trouble.

GPS on the phone took us right to the doorstep. there was TV & WIFI...exceeded my expectations. there are visible cottages nearby, but still felt very private. no musty smells inside the cottage or funky well water smells either. lights did not work in the hot tub, but a rather minor issue if an issue at all. not too far from columbus and about a half hour driver to the old man's cave trails. i will be back.
