Only 8.1 miles to Old Mans Cave! 11 miles to Ash Cave! 11 miles to Conkles Hollow! The renovated log cabin features a welcoming 50 foot front porch complete with a swing and rocking chairs! The fully remodeled kitchen and modern appliances will offer you all the comforts of home and includes a beautiful 8’ granite island and seating for 6. Guests will enjoy this perfect entertaining space, as the dining table and kitchen are open to the large living space, 60” tv, and wood burning fireplace. There is a half bath on the main floor. Overlook the private, peaceful wooded grounds and small pond from the 50 foot second floor balcony. The first floor of the cabin has 2 private bedrooms, and each has a king bed. The master bathroom is complete with jetted tub, glass enclosed shower, and washer and dryer.

The log cabin features a walkout lower level and lounging space that includes a pool table and 60” tv. The lower level includes another bedroom, that can sleep 6 adults comfortably in 2 bunk beds, both full-over-queen (or up to 8 with small children). Downstairs guests will have a private full bath as well.

The property also has a private cottage only 100 feet from the main house. The cottage has its own full bath, fully equipped kitchen, and can sleep 2 in the cozy bedroom with queen bed. The cottage rental is included with the regular rental fee.

All guests will have access to the oversized, jetted hot tub on the lower level!

While staying here, please take time for a peaceful walk in the woods along the paths, roast marshmallows over the firepit, feed the fish and watch for wildlife! This cabin rental is for all those that are looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway. Parties, loud music, and additional guests WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. NO ATVs or recreational vehicles without prior approval. No pets. Swimming and fishing are not allowed. Hunting is not permitted. The pond is NOT fenced and extreme caution should be taken with children.
There are security cameras on the exterior of property.
Must be at least 30 to rent at this cabin. Owners may ask to see proof of drivers license.

Great for a week with friends

This was a great place to spend a week with friends away from the city! Plenty of room to prep and cook food in the kitchen; a big dining room table and lots of additional seating in the open living room/kitchen area; 2.5 bathrooms with bathtubs and showers in both the full baths; and the amazing giant bunk beds made it a great pick for a medium-sized group that needed a lot of beds but not a huge space. Lots of places to break off from the group and read or play games (loved the covered back porch when it was raining!) and a huge yard with a little trail through the woods that lets you get a taste of the hiking elsewhere. Easy drive to several great hiking trails. Starlink internet was fast and strong for folks concerned about connectivity.

The Cabin

All was great except we arrived in 95 degree weather and there was no air conditioning in guest house. Only way to communicate with owner/ manager was email which sometimes took over 12 hours. We did not get a window air conditioner until after 9 pm on 2 nd day which meant 2 adults had to sleep 2 nights on coaches in our basement. Not good when is 6'4"! No electric mixer or crock pot which I consider part of a normal kitchen. Needed more hand towels. I think there were only 2-3. Otherwise very lovely.

The host responded quickly with a few hiccups with utilities. Comfortable and well stocked kitchen. The listing says charcoal grill, but there was propane! the downstairs bedroom and living area and the small cottage is just a cement floor so bring socks or slippers as it can be cold.

Amazing little getaway!

My girlfriends and I used the cabin for a quiet book retreat, and it was magical. Nearby hiking, campfire for s'mores, long porches with swings and comfy chairs, and a hot tub to unwind in after hiking. Overall, would highly recommend and would visit again!

Outstanding Cabin

I rented this for a family reunion and was totally impressed, as were the rest of my family. Kitchen Well stocked for cooking, and everything matched! Hot water was also fantastic. Cabin said it had a charcoal grill though. It did have a gas grill, but it could use a good cleaning. Could only get 1/2 the burners to work. All in all a great stay, and would definetly recommend.

This property is very private, very relaxing. If you want to get away from work it's perfect! Phone service is non-existent. So if you want to communicate with anyone you can use your email or SnapChat. Sometmes you can do video chats. I was happy to be without service LOL. The only complaint we had about the house was the grass wasn't cut and it was at least 8 inches high. It was finally cut on Friday and we left on Sunday. No big deal.

Great place for families. Liked the availability of games and books in case you get stuck inside due to weather. Kitchen well supplied for cooking. The main house was very clean inside … the additional house was not a heathy environment to stay in even though it was beautiful and we planned to use it … we could not due to the fact of the tarp on the roof had leaked inside the additional house made it feel unsafe … there where a lot of bugs and water marks on the walls. It smelled like mold and mildew. Getting inside the house we did not receive the right code and with no reception I had to drive a few miles down the road to call the manager. The Wi-Fi passwords and usernames where incorrect and there where three inside the home which made it very confusing. Over all I would stay in main home again. It was beautiful and clean. Although I would recommend curtains or blinds for the living room/kitchen windows. It has an amazing view off the deck with the pond and trees… at night the stars are absolutely amazing!

Great property

The stay was exactly as expected. It was very clean and exactly what we were looking for. It was listed as a charcoal grill, but when arrived it was a propane grill so we brought unnecessary supplies. I would recommend that in the welcome binder put internet connection instructions, we had a 1-2 second power surge which cut off the internet on the 3rd day of a 4 day trip. Unfortunately, the internet did not come back online and we could not figure it out so we did not have internet for 2 days.

Definitely recommend

In town for family wedding. 6 adults, 6 teenagers. We used both main house and guest house. So much room for everyone. Wide variety of dishes and cooking utensils. We did have to ask for more towels as there wasn't enough. Hot tub and pool table needed attention. All matters were handled promptly. Owner very responsive and staff polite and quick. The property itself is beautiful and peaceful. Beds very comfortable. Highly recommend. One suggestion is to bring slippers for guest house.

DO NOT STAY HERE

Checking into the cabin was very easy but the stay was not smooth. We stay over the Fourth of July week where it was 90+ degrees outside and the A/C unit was broken. Susan, the owner, had three people out to check the A/C with no answer and not getting it fixed. We had to all sit in the guest house for the whole second day because of the heat. This cabin also advertises a pool table and a game room. In this “game room” there is only a pool table, in which you can not play. It was purchased from an arcade asking for quarters. We put in quarters to play and still nothing. There were no balls to play. Throughout our stay, we were frequently reaching out to the owners and were not receiving a reply after the first maintenance man came out to check on the AC unit.

Some Issues

Not enough towels, wash cloths, no dishsoap, only 3 trash bags for 4 days. Air conditioner in main cabin never went below 80 degrees. We still managed to have a great time.
