We enjoyed our stay in a clean and comfortable room. It was a short walk to the beach to watch the sunset. The courtyard is charming. I would stay here again.

When we first parked there it was easy and found a spot instantly but later in the evening when we got back from exploring we could not find a parking spot.

Chose a room with a spa tub to relax after a day of activities and adventure. Friday night all was great. Then Saturday morning no hot water. Cold icy water made for no shower. The office is closed and nobody answers the phone. Found a random employee doing maintenance and he supposedly fixed it. Forward to Saturday night. Wanted to use the Spa tub again, this time lukewarm water if that. Just great…now forward to Sunday morning, Go to take a shower, NO HOT WATER! AGAIN. 6:30 am Called the emergency number they say to call after hours. Person answered told them there was no hot water again. Said they would send someone. Nobody showed up. Called again at 8:30 am, no answer, now they were just ignoring the phone. Packed up and checked out spoke to Mike at the desk, still no manager available to speak with. Asked that the manager call me. It’s Monday morning now still no response. I get the impression they don’t care, their units are full and they have our money. I feel like I’m entitled to a full refund. Expedia hasn’t been much better either. Haven’t heard back from them yet too.

Checked Friday afternoon. We had a SPA ROOM. Property is clean, cute and all. Everything is great until Saturday morning.
No hot water, ice cold. Tried calling the office, just a recording, closed until 10 am. Go back to our unit. Found some ladies working in the laundry area, told them. They had someone look into it. Called office again after 10am, keep getting a recording. Go back to the office, a teenage young man sitting at the check in desk. He couldn’t do anything. Asked for the manager. “The manager will be back tomorrow”. Now I’m beyond fuming. Go back to room. After roughly 45-60 minutes get a knock. A young man says we should be getting hot water. It’s not as cold but feels like it’s coming back. Called Expedia, voiced my disappointment and displeasure of the situation after the battle with getting past the Ai phone system. Typical customer service script which makes matters worse. Anyway, suppose to get some refund, guess it will be a surprise. Forward to Saturday night, it’s a SPA ROOM, I want to use the SPA TUB. The water was barely Luke warm. So I’m pretty much expecting cold water and no shower again on Sunday morning. Sure thing NO HOT WATER AGAIN SUNDAY MORNING!

Great location. So close to beach and the town was walkable. We didn’t drive the whole time! The room itself was a little run down and basic.

The room was great and the place was clean. We get there about 5 pm and check in, get some grub, walk to the beach. Then 9:55 pm rolls around and we go to make some popcorn. The power goes out. Surely the power has gone out everywhere right? Umm wrong actually! The power is out in our room only. So I'm going over the entire unit and switching the gfci switches and looking for a fuse box because it sounded like a fuse popped. No breaker box anywhere. I call the office in the hopes I can reach someone, and of course they are closed. But wait! Press 5 and you can leave a message with the after hours service! The sweet automated lady informed me the voicebox was full, to try again later, and promptly hung up on me.
I call the office again and leave a message there, for why? I dont know honestly. We call it a night and go to bed. Luckily there were some extra blankets.
The power came back on at about 9:20 am the next day. Office doesnt open til 10, and check out is 11. I go to the office to check out and tell the girl what happened. She was sweetheart and told me that there is in fact a fuse box (not in the room) that they have to flip sometimes and if I couldve got ahold of someone they couldve done that for me. I let her know I was disappointed I spent 200$ on a room for the night and didnt have power for 12 hrs. She said she would let the manager know and she would get ahold of me later to hopefully discount my stay. Its been 3 days with no response.

My daughter was hospitalized with pneumonia, I requested to cancel and a refund 2 days before our trip (bcuz pneumonia doesn't decide when it comes).. and they ignored my request or my message and proceeded to send messages about checking in.. Expedia sent a message stating they would follow up in 48 hours but I have yet to hear any updates, meanwhile Im worried about my child being short of breath or easily winded with minimal activity.. life happens, Hotel Cambria in Portland was VERY responsive and kind.. they cancelled and refunded right away.. I offered documentation and they said it wasnt necessary… extremely disappointed with Hotel Inn at Haystack Rock.
