“Great spot, loved the peace and quiet.”

“Wonderfully friendly host, gorgeous location, very relaxing and comfortable house. A great way to get away from the usual tourist route and to see another part of the Kaikoura coast. Loved listening to the ruru at night, watching the quail in the backyard, reading the history of the valley, and hanging out with the sheep. The kitchen was well appointed and easy to work in, the lounge and beds were very comfortable. The only drawback is that the house might be a little tricky for a larger……

“Restful secluded location within easy drive of Christchurch. The house is well equipped with spacious kitchen and living area. The bedrooms were all of a good size with excellent storage space. The host is attentive and welcoming. ”

“Ons verblijf bij Marianne en Pascal was fantastisch! De cottage was heel mooi ingericht, zeer schoon en had werkelijk alles wat je nodig had. Daarnaast was het contact met hun zo hartelijke en gastvrij dat we het liefst nog veel langer waren gebleven. En dan hebben we het nog niet eens over de lieve dieren gehad... Echt een dikke dikke 10!!”

“A wonderful peaceful retreat! Comfy beds, full kitchen, big lounge chairs to sink into, while watching that superb view over a quiet lake. Clean windows helped. Everything you could want in the kitchen. We loved the artwork around the walls and the ambience! The books around gave us history and birdlife and would encourage more days to stay if we had the time! We felt very private and the total silence must have been good for the soul.”

“The house was extremely spacious.The hosts are great. They have some chickens and horses that the kids fed.The showers water pressure is a bit low and the rooms are a bit cold despite the wood burner and the heat pump.Highly recommended for large families with kids.”
