Quiet and spacious

The reception manager extended warm welcome and offered great assistance for our early check-in and showed us outside the hotel the shortest path to city centre.

The whole staff was very helpful and personable, but I wanted to give a shoutout to Tony, who went above and beyond. I called an Uber on my last day, and it kept delaying the arrival time. When I became concerned about missing my train, and a taxi was going to take too long to arrive, Tony took me to the train station himself--talk about going the extra mile! (Also, note that Uber is currently not reliable in Canterbury--hopefully that will change in the future).

Great hotel for a visit to Canterbury, only a 12-minute walk to the city centre. Interior a little bit dated, but clean. Good mattrasses! Very spacious family room with an extra living room. Breakfast was excellent.

Room was fine, the bathroom was very clean, the beds were on the hard side. The restaurant was a bit average, my wife and I had the carvery in the evening and it was a bad choice (dry end pieces of meat probably untouched since the lunch service, and school dinner veg). Our son had steak and enjoyed it after a long wait (we had given up eating our carvery by the time his arrived). Otherwise not a bad choice for a visit to Canterbury with the town centre around a 15min walk.

Wie in vielen Hotels gibt es an den Badezimmerarmaturen keine Kennzeichnungen mehr für "heiß" und "kalt". Das ist in meinen Augen ein Nachteil. Sehr gutes Frühstück, kontinental am Büfett, alternativ traditionell Englisch oder einzelne Bestandteile daraus nach Wahl auf Bestellung.

Hotel located in a nice and quiet neighborhood at walking distance from the city center. Room was small but clean. Staff was very kind. Breakfast offered several options. The part of the hotel I was allocated to was very old and would benefit from significant renovation. Bed was really uncomfortable.
