HISTORY :
The structure dates back to the 1600’s and according to the stories handed down for generations it was originally a convent. With time it became a place for the selection and storage of the local rice crop. A plaque on the front of the building testifies to this. From generation to generation it acquired various transformations and during the last century part of the structure became a flour mill, evidenced by the large and picturesque iron wheel that still exists behind the house. Another part of the structure was used as an olive press to produce the local extra virgin olive oil.
The apartment on the ground floor has been restored maintaining the existing features of the olive press still present today. Inside the apartment there is an old piece of machinery which was used to press the olives and in the floor covered by a glass panel you can see the terra cotta container to preserve the freshly pressed olive oil. Also visible are the original supporting arches of the old structure.

The original “stone machinery” that was used to press the olives has been placed in the garden. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, one bathroom and one large room used as a living room and dining area.
The property is comfortably furnished with new and restored antique furniture and keeping in tune with the original look.
An exterior dining area is available just outside the entrance door. There is also a large garden to have meals and relax enjoying the beautiful countryside.
The garden is private only for the apartment G & G MILL
The small stream that runs nearby makes the atmosphere even more magical.
The heating will be pay a part based on the consumption before the departure

This is an apartment on the same floor that you go outside - so it's very similar like an indipendent house - the other person who lives there have their entrance in their house in others part - and it's probaly that you don't see nobody when you are here - however there are very quite people and very friendly

THE HEATING COST is in addition to the indicated price - only what is consumed will be paid
