This place is a great find. Simple but spotlessly clean room, friendly staff, a delicious breakfast - and a really good price too. Definitely to be recommended.
We enjoyed our stay at Liberty Lodge very much and can warmly recommend to stay there. The location is in a great and safe neighbourhood with fantastic restaurants and bars. The lodge ist super cosy and the room has been spacious, clean and had a fantastic view of Table Mountain. The hosts have been super lovely and made us feel very welcome.
It was amazing. Room was clean and spacious. Lisa and Xharmie took great care of us. We were treated like family. Breakfast was tasty and Xharmie confirmed our excursions.
I would definitely return and share this gem with friends and family.
It's located at the base of Table Mountain and just a short uber ride to Waterfront.
I really enjoyed my stay at Liberty Lodge. As a solo female traveler, it was incredibly comfortable and secure. I never once worried about safety. It is in a quieter residential neighborhood but an easy walk to shops and restaurants or even to city center. My room had a phenomenal view of Table Mountain and there is a balcony with tables and chairs with a view as well. The breakfast spread was fantastic, I only wish I could eat more in the morning. Ruth and the staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable. Ruth was very helpful in planning my days (I didn't do much planning before I arrived) and has brochures for recommended companies.
The lodge was really a home from home. Lisa, the house keeper was attentive and friendly and the coffee was sublime.
The breakfast in the Tuscan style courtyard encouraged interaction with other guests without feeling pushed.
Walking distance to many Cape Town attractions. We will stay again, but in one of the rear rooms as the road side room is close to a junction, on a hill and so a little noisy.
Very caring, very efficient, I had a very comfortable stay of 2 months during which Melissa and staff took excellent care of me.

Ruth and her staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and property is very clean. Located close to restaurants and cafes. Area felt a little suspect although we were assured it was safe to walk for our evening meal which we did on one evening. We did see empty liquor bottles littering the sidewalk, so didn’t feel overly safe walking after dark. Property is comfortable but could do with a bit of a refresh.
Received a warm welcome from Ruth who gave us lots of tips and what to do. The hotel is in a nice location with good restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was good and served on the small terrace everyday.
Charming upscale B&B. Perfect location, in a quiet spot, just off trendy Kloof St. Stunning view of Table Mountain. Ruth and her team helped make our stay in Cape Town comfortable and memorable.
Ruth the owner was extremely friendly and helpful with advice on things to do in Cape Town. Breakfasts were excellent. A very comfortable 3 night stay.
Great location in Gardens. Immediate vicinity is safe and full of restaurants etc in walking distance which give you a flavor for the real town. Short drives to waterfront, Atlantic coast, table mountain. Owner was onsight daily and always had great recommendations. Great view from the upstairs balcony. Overall really good value for the money and I would go back.
Liberty Lodge is a charming guest house situated close to Cape Town centre. The owner is delightful and is helpful with suggestions about seeing Cape Town. Her staff are warm and welcoming. We were provided with a beautiful home cooked breakfast each morning. Our room was spacious, clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. I highly recommend Liberty Lodge as a place to stay if visiting Cape Town.

Bra läge
Bra frukost, bra läge, fina fräscha rum, bra service. Dock väldigt lyhört både från utsidan och inomhus.
We had a great stay at the Liberty Lodge. The lodge is in a perfect location; which is a short walk to dozens of great restaurants and pubs. Each morning we had an excellent breakfast; cooked to our liking. From the lodge, It’s easy 15-20 minute to center city. There are several bus stops nearby – if you like public transportation. Ruth, the proprietor, was helpful in providing guidance and coordinating activates. The rooms were clean and spacious.
Good position for table mountain and the main road to Camps Bay. 2.5miles walk to the V and A waterfront. A few good restaurants in the vicinity. Mount Nelson hotel is close where they do wonderful afternoon teas. We had a large comfortable bedroom. There is an outside balcony seating area for the residents. A choice of fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese and syrup pancakes and then a cooked English breakfast. Ruth the owner is very friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable.
Clean and pleasant guesthouse in a relatively safe area, although security a big issue. Close to Table mountain and a short taxi ride to the VA Waterfront. The hostess was very obliging and had furnished the house in a quirky eclectic fashion. For me it was rather too far out of the centre.
Liberty Lodge was a fine solution for my five stay stay in Cape Town. Great location for easy access to central city and walkable to Kloof Street and Long Street restaurants and shops. Ruth provided terrific guidance on getting the best out of my stay and is very personable. Full breakfast everyday to get you off to a good start with a nice common living room and outdoor courtyard and terrace.
We really enjoyed our five night stay at Liberty Lodge, our room had everything
we wanted including a large terrace with a perfect view of Table Mountain. Ruth,
Lies and Niete really did us proud. Breakfast is taken on the patio which is nice
and green and shady, breakfast is beautifully cooked and always just as you wnat it.
There is a large table where all the guests sit and it is interesting to speak to the other
guests who come from all over everywhere - a real family atmosphere.
We had great meals on Kloof street (best pizzas ever at Da Vinci ). Lots of small and
good boutiques everything very reasonable. We walked everywhere in the city, to the
Waterfront, to the Slave Museum, African Market. A must by car is the Botanical Gardens
really beautiful. The beaches at Camps Bay and Hout Bay are fantastic and easily reachable
by car.
Ruth, the owner of Liberty Lodge is a mine of information and will answer all questions and
recommend and book tables for meals. Ruth you do a great job and thanks once again for
everything, we really had a most enjoyable time.
