"We enjoyed our stay at Giuggiulena Villa! The location is right on the water with a gorgeous view of the Ionian Sea, nearby sea caves, and just a few steps down to access the water for swimming. Sabrina and Claudia are wonderful hosts. They are personable, friendly, and helpful. Claudia is an amazing cook and provides a delicious homemade breakfast. We especially enjoyed the freshly brewed bialetti coffee, freshly baked stuffed breads with spinach & cheese/ ham & cheese, homemade tiramasu, fresh fruit, and various other options. Ortigia is about a 20 minute walk from the location and there's a good restaurant and gelateria located a few minutes away."

Bed needs to be upgraded, mattress is hard and uncomfortable. Shower is in the bathtub, you need to step over the bathtub to access. Limited views from rooms. Convenient city bus stop not far from the main gate to access downtown and Ortigia. Free parking for those with rental cars. Breakfast is okay, typical large group buffet-style with chaotic frenzy to grab fresh items in limited quantities. Restaurant for dinner is okay but overpriced. Much better dining options in town."

"This is a great place for a large group. With 4 good size bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and everything looking very new - - you can't go wrong. There's a nice kitchen downstairs with lots of seating. The air conditioning was very effective in spite of the very hot weather. A lovely plus was receiving a permit to drive in the ZTL of Siricusa and Ortigia. We had a great stay."
