It’s such a special place for us to stay. The hotel holds such lovely memories of our wedding day. It’s been developed even more now, but tastefully, holding its true identity in style and decor, with the more modern twists where needed. Every staff member is friendly, the food is delicious, lounge areas comfy, outside areas maintained and modern, and the views over Cardiff and out to sea are wonderful. Our room in the older part of the hotel was quirky and so comfortable with lovely views, warm, spacious and the most comfortable bed possible. We can’t fault The New House Country Hotel. It’s worth every penny to stay there.

This is a lovely hotel, it is set in a beautiful location, with views looking towards Cardiff. It is a country house, the decor is very nice. Our room was lovely and big, with a super king bed. It was nice and clean. We also had a patio area outside, that we could have sat in, not in November though! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a treat, there was a lot to choose from and everything was cooked to perfection. You only needed to put the bread through the toaster once, that has got to be a first. I would recommend tis hotel for a stay.

Peaceful and unique establishment with amazing view of the Capital. We actually slept with curtains open something we never do as the scenery was so spectacular of the lights of Cardiff. Room very spacious, bed extremely comfortable. Shame ladies nail varnish marks on bath tub, this can be easily removed with a bit of remover and a cotton wool bud. Staff approachable, polite and friendly. Evening meal was amazing, both had the duo of Lamb dish which provided and explosion of flavours on the taste buds. The person serving was so nice and a credit to the establishment. Breakfast first two morning was table service and staff very attentative. Third morning self serve, slight gripe that even though choice still good, tables were not being cleared of anything until after guest had vacated, leading to messy looking dining room. Would love love love to stay again.

We had a suite which was very spacious and close to the lounge and dining areas. Room was very clean and bathroom had separate shower and bath. Staff friendly, courteous and very helpful. Beautiful setting and house, lovely log fires in November!

We have stayed here a few times before as we have friends nearby. Beautiful peaceful setting, lovely view from room & friendly helpful staff. It was a relatively quiet weekend, which was nice for a change as very popular wedding venue in spring/summer months. Gorgeous newly refurbished bathroom with bath & large walk in shower. We felt the bedroom was tired & pretty gloomy unfortunately. Lighting was poor, hopeless for makeup and furniture in need of TLC (and a good dust in places). TV was a nuisance - kept cutting out. We reported it a couple of times, but when v helpful staff came it decided to behave, so we gave up! Breakfast delicious & plentiful. Veg sausages available on request, but they were literally full of vegetables rather than a meat substitute, which isn’t really what you want for your breakfast. Overall a good stay, just need to get room up to standard of the bathroom as def mismatch & frustrating for guests. Thanks to lovely staff as ever - an absolute credit!

We travelled late so arrived after dark. I hadn't read the Sat nav directions before leaving so unfortunately we got a little lost but staff at a nearby pub pointed us in the right direction. Well signposted but unlit at the driveway entrance and this would have really helped. Better signage on site would also be greatly appreciated. As I'm disabled your warning about the steep entrance steps and alternative ramp entry were greatly appreciated. We were met by the most wonderful receptionist whose friendly and helpful 'nothing too much trouble' manner set the scene for our stay. We were too late for our dinner reservation but the night staff provided some very welcome food in our room. Our garden room exceeded expectations with the biggest bed I've ever seen and a super luxurious walkin shower. Perfect as I'm recovering from a broken leg at the moment. The room decor enhanced the experience with its relaxed yet sophisticated colour scheme. The choice of furniture and soft furnishings added to this relaxed sophistication and were extremely comfortable. When ordered, room service was very prompt and when eating in the restaurant, they were very helpful providing our dessert and cheese course in room. I was unable to use your well appointed gym on this trip but if it had been available, I would have appreciated the use of a pool or jacuzzi/sauna and think that a spa would be a great location for a spa..Hope to visit you all again very soon

Amazing Hotel!!

We do not live that far from this hotel, and this was our first visit which was for our wedding annniversary. It is such a lovely hotel in every aspect. Great staff, amazing room, fantastic views and wonderful breakfast. Highly recommended and we are already looking for a reason to stay again. Thanks for looking after us :-)
