Before I placed my booking I had phoned the hotel to check about parking etc as both my husband and I are waling disabled (although we cannot walk very far without needing to take a break, and explained this to the person on the phone), and was told that they had parking at the back of the hotel. Based on this info I placed my booking. However, upon arriving, the parking area at the back of the hotel is a public car park and is very small, probably only enough for about 20 cars, and does not belong to the hotel. The hotel does not have its own car park, and there is no entry to the hotel from the car park either, you would have to walk around the outside of the hotel and into the entrance which we would not have been able to do.
Because the car park was full, I phoned the hotel to find if there was anywhere where we could park as we would not be able to walk very far. Luckily for us, I spoke with a receptionist called Joey (I think that was his name), who said we may be able to park in Cardiff Arms Park which is on the opposite side from the hotel entrance. Thankfully we were able to park in there as there was a game on, however to park overnight did cost £18, but we were only staying the one night.
Upon entry to the hotel, Joey was very helpful and booked us in. The room itself was very clean, but was quite walm and we couldn't find any air con but we were able to open the windows a little but which is unusual nowadays in many hotels.
