  • *** The City of Carlsbad is rebuilding the beach stairs across the street. There will be no construction activity during the summer. Construction will resume between Fall 2026 the the project estimated to be completed Sprint 2027. Nearest beach access is three blocks south off of Tamarack Avenue***

    Named for the lifeguard tower that sits on the beach just below the property, Tower 36's Lower Unit, features all the luxuries you love and would expect! The home has been designed to enhance guest experience through comfort and elegance. Tower 36 Lower is the ground floor level of the home with an expansive 2,500 square feet of space featuring 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Enjoy ocean views from the master bedroom (actually located on the second floor) and the expansive living space which includes access to the unit's ocean facing front porch. The spacious living and gourmet kitchen spaces allow ample room for preparing meals, playing games with family and friends, and entertaining loved ones. Take full advantage of your views from the private ocean facing patio.

    The Space
    This oceanfront unit has three bedrooms, two and half bathroom, and is located in beautiful Carlsbad, California. The home does have AC which is difficult to find in Carlsbad and has amazing ocean views.

    The Living Room:
    - Open concept living/dining/kitchen with french doors along the west-facing wall of the house for panoramic ocean views
    - Bright and sunny, ocean-view sitting area
    - Comfortable seating, a smart tv with access to live tv
    - Gas fireplace for guests to use for warmth and ambiance
    - Wi-Fi speed is fast, perfect for video calls for remote work or learning

    The Kitchen:
    - Pristine all white color palette with gorgeous countertops and open shelving for easy to access kitchenware.
    - Refrigerator, gas stove, oven, microwave and two dishwashers
    - Cookware, glassware, dinnerware and utensils
    - Toaster, blender and other cooking gadgets
    - Marble-topped island with barstool seating
    - Traditional drip coffee maker to get you started for the day

    - Enjoy the oceanview as you dine in the tastefully decorated dining area

    - Two reserved covered parking spaces on the property
    - Pack 'n Play setup available as an add-on for $35 + tax, or upgrade to the Pack 'n Play + High Chair setup for $55 + tax.

This property is professionally managed by Haustay Vacation Rentals who will always be available for any guest inquiries. Quiet hours outdoors start at 9PM. No parties are allowed. No Pets.

    Located along Carlsbad Boulevard known for its good beach break surf out front, beautiful walking paths, and a fun clean beach.

    Car is not required due to the great walkability of the location and easy access to car services such as Uber and Lyft.

The communication with my host was fast and easy, either by phone, text or email. the instructions from Haustay were easy to follow and there were no surprises. Our rooms were cozy and comfortable. The basics were already provided which made food shopping was minimal. We had 2 toddlers and there were plenty beach toys and an easy walk across the street to the beach.

The house was perfect for my family. We may have found our new favorite house to rent while in Carlsbad. The communication between myself and the owners were great.Only bummer was the construction occurring to repair the stairs at the beach. The orange fencing/trucks were obstructing the view some. This should be completed by May 24th according to the construction signs.

The house was beautiful, and we loved the location. The downstairs air conditioning worked very well, but unfortunately the upstairs primary bedroom was extremely hot. It seemed that the upstairs AC was either not working or unavailable. The room was so uncomfortable that my wife and I had to sleep downstairs on the couch. I contacted the management company during our stay but did not receive a response. Aside from that issue, we really enjoyed the house and would have had an excellent stay if the upstairs cooling problem had been addressed.

Wonderful stay! The home is beautiful and well stocked. Our only disappointment was with the construction across the street, as there were orange barricades and fencing that obstructed the view for our lower unit and the crosswalks for direct access to the beach were closed. The home itself, though, is very comfortable and beautifully appointed. The location is perfect!

This home exceeded our expectations….Beautifully decorated, incredibly maintained, and well supplied to meet all of our needs. The location is one of the best in Carlsbad with convenient beach access and still walking distance to town. This is a very spacious house that is as lovely as pictured.

Location - Location - Location!

An absolute wonderful 4 night stay here! Couldn’t be closer to the beach. Super easy beach access. House was clean, had plenty of room, beautifully decorated, and had all the necessary accommodations. Loved staying here… and besides the occasional obnoxiously loud cars &/or motorcycles speeding by the front porch, the house was perfect!

Best beach house!

This was the best beach house! It had everything we needed plus more. The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated. The beds were super comfortable too. We will come back. I highly recommend this place.

We all loved this beach house. The location was great, being directly across from the ocean and two houses down from the crosswalk to the beach! We traveled with children ages 2, 4, and 6 and all walked to the beach and down the stairs just fine. The home was well appointed and comfortable for our needs. Nick and Elisa were quick and easy to communicate with. We had a wonderful week!

Perfect beach house

I really can’t even find the words for this place. We couldn’t believe how wonderful it was when we first got there. The location and the house were everything we hoped for. It just felt so good to be there. We loved the town and the beach right in front of the house. The house was amazing. The WiFi was pretty bad but other than that the place was perfect.

Beautiful Beach Home!!!!

The stay here was amazing! Our family had a wonderful time at the home and the easy access to the beach. The home had everything you needed. It was very clean too! The owners were so nice and checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Not many owners do that. It was so relaxing hearing the sound of the waves from rhe ocean and hanging out in the front yard! Great place to people watch. The access to the beach was so close and easy to get to. We will be back!! Thank you for everything!!

Excellent

This was the perfect place for our family of four. It's walking distance to Carlsbad Village which has wonderful restaurants and shops, plus it's along the waterfront. The beach and crosswalk is steps away. They had beach chairs, umbrellas, and even beach toys to borrow. It was spacious enough for us to have some space to work while on vacation. The TV was streaming-service-enabled so if you have Netflix you can sign in (and they remind you to sign out on their check out list). Everything was clean, plenty of dishes and silverware, wifi worked well. Check in was a breeze, check out was a breeze. I had a request for them, and Alicia and the owners helped out right away, without even asking us to be there. It was such a wonderful visit and we are coming back :)

Great location, good house, ok host experience

The location of this home is amazing! Right across the street from steps to the beach & a short walk to town. The house itself was nice, a few snags with certain amenities (we planned to grill dinner & had confirmed ahead of arrival the outdoor bbq worked - it did not, master bed mattress needs an upgrade). Very disappointed with our initial check-in experience, I paid $50/hr for early check-in, upon arrival the house code did not work which resulted in not being able to check-in until 90 minutes after agreed upon early check-in time which required resetting the door code. Property manager lacked any sort of customer service as they placed blame on me for not immediately calling for help, as a result they only refunded a small portion of the early check-in (30-minutes vs 90-minutes). This felt very short sighted given the issue was an error on their part, I paid for something I did not receive. The property manager insinuated I did not arrive to the property at the time I said I did, I asked them to pull camera footage to prove the time I arrived as accurate which they did not. As a result, our experience started off poorly & made us feel as guests we weren't a top priority, instead getting every dollar out of us was more important. I wish that would've been a more welcoming & thoughtful interaction but overall we still had a nice time during our stay.

Fantastic Week in Carlsbad

The property is beautiful. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are just as lovely and comfortable as the pictures show. We loved being so close to the beach and within easy walking distance to Carlsbad Village. Our communication with the host was clear and timely. We would love to return and highly recommend this rental.
