“Beautifully designed from the moment you walk up to the hotel, with attention to detail in every single room. Staff was helfpul and accomdating, especially because we had a 7am departure and breakfast wasn't until 8am - they gave us to-go breakfasts that we picked up on our way out. “It was a lovely stay at this guest house. The place was very clean and within walking distance to the beach, as a plus. There were good restaurants and supermarkets nearby, and the neighborhood felt quiet and safe. Overall, it was a very lovely experience.”

“The property itself has a lot of potential to be a great place with minimal effort. However, it clearly showed its age. Living room furniture was stained. Owner did provide sheets to cover at our request so we could sit. One of the bedroom window shades was broken and it took owners five days to respond after our request to fix it. As we were leaving day after, we told them not to bother. We also had to ask for additional towels as the ones provided were not sufficient for four people staying……

“This is a fantastic hotel. The staff are attentive and friendly, our room was beautiful and the hotel grounds are looked after with a real sense of care and pride. Breakfast was a highlight of the day! The outdoor pool area and various other seating areas around the hotel gave us many opportunities to relax and read. Although about a 30 min walk from the centre of Porto, there are many excellent restaurants within a 10 min walk of the hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Palacete……
