"Had a light large room with en suite, if you want fancy then this is not for you, the couple running it are very easy to talk to and very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was good, right in the centre of town. "

"The homestead in a lovely period property with matching decor. The room was spotless, spacious with lovely en-suite facilities. Maria and Kevin, the hosts, are lovely people, very friendly and make you feel at ease as soon as you arrive. We stayed overnight as we were attending a wedding at Wennington Hall. Kevin very kindly offered to drop us off and pick us up when we were ready to return. This saved us a lot of hassle trying to arrange taxis to come out for just a short journey. Thanks Kevin you're a star. Next morning we had a superb full English breakfast with as many or few items we required expertly cooked to perfection by Maria. Just what we needed to prepare us for our journey home. The hotel is in a quiet location with private parking so no worrying about leaving your car in an insecure location. We would definitely return if visiting the area again and would recommend the Homestead to anyone looking to stay at a perfect venue. Thanks Maria and Kevin."
"Just a one night stopover on way back from a tour of Scotland with my friends
Wished we had booked 2 nights got a cabin on the edge of the lake. Everything was perfect, have stayed many times before and will stay again without hesitation"
"Great value for money, excellent breakfast, lovely location, very clean and comfortable and would stay again. Downside, a lack of engagement with guests from staff"
"Super pub stay, nice bar, lovely staff, Ruben was especially helpful when we checked in. Bedroom very hot as if heating was on but luckily the fan supplied kept us cool enough. Restaurant was only open Thursday to Sunday but lots of great places to eat within 20 metres. Beer garden was a real treat."
"Only one person seemed to be about when we were checking in and she was serving at bar and answering phone as well.
Nice big bedroom and bathroom but it was incredibly hot in the heat wave. We did find a fan in the wardrobe but it would have been handy if they had told us it was there.
Had a drink in the garden which was lovely in the shade.
Was hoping to try one of the pies for dinner that they advertise but they only had mince ones.
I had fish and chips and my husband had ham and eggs, both were very nice but we had wanted to try the pies!
Breakfast was cooked to order and spot on. Had to order what we wanted the night before.
Waitress very friendly as were all the staff.
No proper complaints. Would stay again."
"Lovely staff and a very comfortable stay. The property is located in a calm and quiet town, making it an ideal place to relax, especially if you’re travelling with your own vehicle. The building is very old and traditional, full of character, and has been well maintained. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable experience.
The property has its own restaurant where breakfast is served. It is a lovely, traditional restaurant run by an elderly lady who was very welcoming. The breakfast was fresh, delicious, and a great start to the day."
