Good clean room with adequate furniture and bedding. Great breakfast and had two good dinners whilst we were there. Staff very polite and helpful. All in all a very pleasant stay and would certainly use again.

Really enjoyed our stay, don’t understand some of the negative reviews. It’s a lovely traditional pub, the food was very nice and the rooms were clean and felt recently redone. The only issue we had was the WiFi wasn’t great working on the telly, so the second night we struggled to stream anything. A WiFi booster / extender might solve this issue? Highly recommend visiting the falls behind the pub (they are separate to the inn and you have to pay a small fee). Also Hawes is a lovely 30 minute walk away! Thanks to the staff, we’ll definitely be back!

Lovely cosy pub. We stayed in a beautiful suite in the main building which had everything we needed. Lovely choice for breakfast, perfectly cooked. Staff very friendly.

Lovely old pub. Comfortable room with everything supplied. Nicely decorated. Not spotlessly clean, but it was dog friendly. Friendly, helpful staff. Great base to come back to after walking. Easy walk into Hawes. Good atmosphere for an enjoyable drink or food. Open fires were lit and so relaxing to sit by. Good breakfast with excellent service. We are already thinking about a return visit.

Shocking

Stayed last August and couldn't wait to go back. Visited again this summer and place has fallen off a cliff. No maintenance has been carried out. Toilet seats falling off, no soaps in rooms. No doors locked and coat pegs falling off. Rooms definitely not cleaned and dare not shower as it was filthy. Food ok but not brilliant for the price. Staff just want you out asap, once you've eaten. Had to go get someone to take breakfast order after 30 minutes of being ignored. Last year owner was there and chatting to him, it seemed like he had the right idea for a great customer experience but was nowhere to be seen this time and appears to have taken his foot off the gas. Whole place unwelcoming poor service and a complete let down. A shame as it is an idealic spot but sadly we will not return again.

Just returned from an idyllic 2 nights at The Green Dragon. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment and it was just lovely. The bed was amazing and I could have sat looking out of the window the whole time I was there. A stunning location that is central to many wonderful places and the most amazing scenery. I can’t wait to return.

Fantastic gem

The accommodation was fantastic - we stayed in the two bed apartment. Loved the decor and the very soft carpet which really added a special touch. The views are amazing looking out onto fields of sheep. It's extremely quiet, being the apartment at the back end of the accommodations. A large smart TV in each of the rooms - this gives the option of relaxing and logging into to all your apps. The fixtures and fittings are of a high standard and this could be seen throughout. Also I found myself looking at all of the high quality equipment for example the kettle/toaster/Ninja dual airfyer to name a few. There were complimentary biscuits, coffee, tea, milk, sugar. Towels were white and very soft. I used the hairdryer which was v powerful. The shower was also a good pressure. We had an evening meal during our stay. We were a family of four, with two children aged 10 and 13. The food was good (we booked in advance on the website). We chose something off the children's menu and the main menu with plenty of traditional pub options. We also found the beers on tap and other options (wine, spirits) very good - something for everyone. We would stay here again for sure - there are not many pubs that cater for a family of four with the option of eating out or staying in.

The room we booked was spectacular and they accommodated our request to have the single beds pushed together. The surrounding area is beautiful as is the property itself! Our room was separated in a different area from the inn which I felt gave us more privacy - and a fantastic view of the rolling hills! The room was clean, larger than expected and had an abundance of items to use ie: kettle with plenty of hot drink items, bottled water, a fridge, a large smart TV, ironing board and iron, wardrobe, hairdryer and several towels - all bases are covered! The staff were very helpful whilst we stayed and also were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was a real treat too - quality ingredients, juice and hot drink options and even cereal options too. The ONLY snag? The parking at the back of the property gets taken up VERY quickly so it’s important to stay mindful of this! Not a fault of the property, but other people aren’t considerate when parking so several spaces are often wasted to people taking far too much room - aim to arrive earlier to get a spot! Would absolutely love to visit again and hopefully in the future we will be back.

The inn was wonderful we enjoyed our stay there first morning no hot water but quickly fixed by the time we finished breakfast we had warm water. When they say four a clock check in that’s what it is no earlier. You do have to pay extra for the water fall 4 pounds per person. Food was excellent. Lots of walking trails very quiet and peaceful. We did enjoy our stay we talked about returning.
