Beautiful and relaxing stay

The property is stunningly beautiful, especially the outside. It is really a calm surrounding, nevertheless the Centre of Castellina is just a few minutes away by foot. The host is also very friendly.Highly recommendable

Perfect Tuscan getaway. Great villa on amazing grounds with fantastic views. 5 minute walk to the center of Castellina. Villa is great for a couple or a couple with 2 small children. Very well maintained, clean, and well equipped. Villa is simple and comfortable. It is set in an olive grove of a much larger farm. Grounds are beautifully maintained and the view of the valleys and mountains are great. We spent every morning out by the pool watching the sunrise. Not fancy but exactly what we were looking for to relax after visiting all the big cities of Italy. Biagi and Frederico were great hosts and gave recommendations on local things to do. Castellina is very centrally located to explore more of Tuscany. There is a fairly steep hill to climb to get to the town. So if you have difficulty walking, this may be a concern. Loved our stay! Very private and relaxing.

Great relaxing family trip

We had a wonderful time in the nice little house on the quiet edge of a lively village, with spectacular Tuscany scenery, a super clean pool and friendly and helpful owners. Both Florence and Siena are fully worth a trip, or you just stay at the house for perfect relaxing.

Great stay

This house in castellina is an absolute dream. It’s perfectly located next to Castellina. The interior is perfect, the view is great and the host is very helpful and quick to respond if there is any problem. We came with our 1 year old and everything was there for us to have a good vacation as a young family. High chair, baby bed und everything you need Can definetly recommend!

Fantastic location!

Superb private villa with enclosed pool & garden only 5 mins walk from the town. Federico is a friendly & helpful host. We were even given fresh eggs by his Dad! Views from the garden are lovely. We had a great stay - thank you. If you are taking a dog just check the costs - we paid £50 when we booked and were charged a further €70 when we left.

Lovely property in beautiful surroundings

We loved this property- very well equipped, lovely pool and great views. And, only a few minutes walk into the village with lovely bars restaurants and shops. A perfect location. The only thing that might cause an issue for some ( not for us) , is that the third bedroom is a mezzanine floor within the second bedroom with a very steep staircase. The only access to the bathroom from these rooms is either through the main bedroom or through the patio door and around the outside of the property. We definitely will want to stay there again.

Upgrades needed

Idyllic location. Wondering potential in this property. Would be amazing if had updated interior furnishing to match the outside of the property. Unfortunately, the property is not as listed. The heating is not able to heat the apartment, and we stayed the first week in October. Even with pre-empting the heating earlier in the day, it was cold, damp and uncomfortable. The only comfortable place to be inside was under the covers in bed. Additionally, it does not have a fireplace, nor 3 bedrooms, and the annex of two single beds on two levels is attached to the master and not the common area. Also, not listed is the surprise request for cleaning fees and advised on check in that we would be paying for electricity as well over and above what we previously paid. This is not listed in the VRBO listing in any way. Given that it was so cold, and running the basic reverse AC unit, it would end up costing a lot of money extra and we would still be uncomfortable. On day 3 we advised the host that we would not be staying the rest of the week, and why, and found a new location. We can see how this place could be nice in summer, but outside of warm days and nights, we do not recommend this place, unless the owner upgrades the heating situation, and has transparency on the add about the features and expectations.

We had a lovely stay. The house is quit near the village but no to near. It is quiet at night. Any problems were fixed very fast. The house offers wonderful views along with a small but very clean pool. It is very near Siena and Florence which makes it an ideal base for trips

We had a very good time here, perfect location and just a 5 minute walk into Castellina with its lovely restaurant's, wine tasting and shops . The outdoor of the property is perfect,lovely swimming pool and glorious views all around. Always kept clean by Federicos father . Inside the decor could do with an update, especially the bathroom. However, the cooking facilities were excellent and it was lovely to eat on the terrace by the pool. Just make sure you have insect repellent. The property isn’t easy to find as it’s through a car park but Federico met us and we followed him there. Overall an excellent property but be aware there is a final cleaning charge of 25 euros per person and a possible excess usage electricity charge. You also have to pay for the air con so all the additional fees do add up!Lovely location for getting around Tuscany and Siena is only half an hour away.

A hidden gem

We absolutely loved our stay in Castellina. The Villa is perfectly located for a short stroll into the town and its fine array of shops and restaurants. The villa itself is very well equipped and had everything to make it feel like a home from home. Federico was a superb host, very attentive and professional in our dealings, but moreso an extremely friendly person who provided us local insight and fresh produce from the garden. We will definitely return to this villa in the near future.

Prachtige plek

Prachtige en heel centrale plek in Toscane. Perfecte omgeving om te fietsen. Mooie tuin met uitzicht. Heel vriendelijke beheerder.Het huisje is niet heel comfortabel - geen fijne bank, beetje ouderwets en heel koud, (verwarming via airco), geen fijne kussens om te slapen

Abzocke bei Tourismussteuer

Tolles Grundstück, fußläufig von der kleinen und schönen Innenstadt gelegen. Aber: die Bilder im Inserat versprechen mehr als sie halten: die Wohnung ist eher dunkel, teilweise Schimmel an den Wänden. Es sind auch keine drei Schlafzimmer, sondern zwei. Dabei hat das eine Schlafzimmer zwei Etagen mit je einem Einzelbett. Wer hier also drei getrennte Schlafzimmer vermutet liegt falsch. Folgendes hat uns ebenfalls nicht gefallen, da wir andere Standards bei Ferienhäusern, besonders in dieser Preisklasse, gewöhnt sind: - keine Seife im Badezimmer - nur eine Rolle Klopapier für zehn Tage Aufenthalt - nur ein Geschirrtuch - keine Müllbeutel - abgenutztes Besteck - keine Spülmaschinen Tabs - der TV ist falsch eingestellt, man sieht nur 2/3 des Bildes - im Garten und auf dem Hof werden Pflanzenschutzmittel gespritzt während wir dort sitzen und die Kinder barfuß spielen. Der Hammer kam am Schluss: uns wurden 72 Euro Tourismussteuer für 9 Nächte und zwei Erwachsene und zwei Kinder unter 14 Jahren berechnet, obwohl es nur 28 Euro hätten sein dürfen. In unseren Augen ganz klare Abzocke. Federico, der Verwalter/Vermieter, behauptet, dass für sein Ferienhaus andere Preise und Regeln gelten. Doch weder hat er einen Nachweis darüber erbracht, noch auf Anforderung eine Rückzahlung geleistet. Federico meldet sich auf Nachrichten nicht mehr und versucht die Sache auszusitzen. Wir haben die Angelegenheit der Gemeinde Castellina und der Polizei gemeldet.

Schöne Lage

Castellina in Chianti ist eine schöner, gemütlicher toskanischer Ort und eine gute Ausgangsposition für Ausflüge ins Chinati. Das Ferienhaus hat eine schöne Lage, die Zufahrt ist allerdings nichts für ungeübte Autofahrer. Das Ferienhaus hätte sauberer sein können, die Dusche war nicht sehr einladend und auch sonst hatte es nicht den Anschein, dass es nach dem Winter vor unserer Ankuft gründlich gereinigt worden wäre. Für die Endreinigung werden 25 Euro pro Person verlangt, das empfanden wir angesichts der mangelnden Sauberkeit dann schon etwas unverfroren. Irreführend ist zudem die Angabe zur Anzahl der Schlafzimmer. Es sind nicht drei Schlafzimmer, sondern nur zwei: ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Doppelbett und ein Zimmer, in dem ein Zwischenboden, erreichbar über eine schmale Treppe, eingebaut wurde. Unten steht ein Einzelbett und oben auf dem Zwischenboden auch, ohne dass es Privatsphäre bieten würde. Für zwei Paare also absolut nicht geeignet. Küchenaustatttung okay. Insgesamt aber recht ungemütlich. Das könnte man sicher besser lösen.

Urlaub in der Toscana im Herbst

Wir verbrachten eine Woche Ende Oktober in Castellina in Chianti. Das Ferienhaus liegt unmittelbar am Ortskern und trotzdem mitten in der Natur. Sehr ruhig und mit wunderschönem Blick in die Natur. Inmitten von Weinfeldern und Olivenhainen gelegen, kann man wunderbar entspannen. In unmittelbarer Nähe, im Ortskern von Castellina, gibt es eine Reihe sehr guter Lokale. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterfamilie ist herzlich und jederzeit möglich. Es gibt auch Empfehlungen für Restaurants etc. Das Haus selbst ist rel. klein, aber für 3 bis max. 4 Personen (1 Familie) geeignet. Im Sommer ist das Haus und Grundstück ein Traum, Ende Oktober mussten wir die Klimaanlage, die in allen Wohn- und Schlafräumen vorhanden ist, als Heizung nutzen. Daher würde ich das Objekt bei dauerhaften Tagestemperaturen unter 20 Grad Celsius nur bedingt empfehlen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen und können uns ein Wiedersehen mit Federico und seinem Vater im Sommer gut vorstellen. Mille Grazie Federico!

Perfektes Haus zum Abschalten

Das Haus hatte alles, was wir brauchten. Es ist ein kleines Haus auf einem schönen Grundstück auf dem man für sich ist und super abschalten kann. Es gibt einen neuen Pool vor der Terrasse und man hat einen wunderbaren Blick in die Weinberge. Man ist für sich und trotzdem ist man zu Fuß in 5 Minuten in der niedlichen Fußgängerzone von Castellina, in der es diverse gute Restaurants gibt, kleine Läden und auch einen kleinen Supermarkt, um das nötigste einzukaufen. Eine sehr gute Eisdiele ist auch nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Das Haus ist perfekt für zwei Personen. Vom Kinderzimmer muss man durch das Elternzimmer zum Bad und dem Rest der Wohnung. Mit kleinen Kindern ist das sicher kein Problem. Wenn man mit größeren Kindern reist, vielleicht nicht ganz so optimal. Parken ist auf dem Grundstück des Hauses problemlos möglich. Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt, Frederico ist als Gastgeber jederzeit kontaktierbar, wenn etwas sein sollte und der Check-in und Ceck-out war super easy. Wir werden sicher mal wiederkommen.

Heerlijke vakantiewoning.

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in het huisje. De eigenaar is een zeer gastvrije vriendelijke man, en makkelijk te bereiken voor vragen of tips. Rustige omgeving en toch binnen 5 minuten open in het dorps centrum.

Alojamiento pensado para verano y anuncio poco exacto

El alojamiento está bien situado, tranquilo y con vistas maravillosas al valle pero no está preparado para ir en los meses que no sean verano. Nosotros fuimos en abril, con temperaturas de entre 0 y 15º y pasamos mucho frío dentro de la casa. Los aparatos que tienen no son los apropiados para esas temperaturas, dormimos con jersey y 2 edredones. La respuesta del propietario fue que mantuviéramos todo el día encendidos los aparatos, incluso sin estar en casa, pero eso no era suficiente. Hay que tener en cuenta que el anuncio dice que la casa tiene tenis de mesa, chimenea y calefacción central, cosa que no es verdad. Hay que añadir al precio (cosa que tampoco indica el anuncio) la limpieza final, que se cobra por persona y gastos de electricidad extra. Se agradecería la cortesía de encontrar cosas "básicas" como son sal, azúcar, aceite, servilletas, jabón para lavarse las manos,... o algo más que 1 rollo de papel de w.c y 1 bolsa de basura para los 7 días que pasamos.

Fabulous stay

This is a fantastic property. We enjoyed an excellent stay in a very private, quiet, picturesque location. Friendly, helpful, welcoming hosts. Perfectly situated for a 5 mins walk into the lovely town town of Castellina in Chianti. Would highly recommend as we had a most enjoyable holiday.

Un très agréable séjour au coeur de la Toscane

La maison est idéalement située : assez proche du village pour pouvoir s'y rendre à pied mais assez en retrait pour jouir d'un très grand calme. L'équipement disponible est de qualité (frigidaire et four flambant neufs, lave-linge, lave-vaisselle, etc.) mais il manque certains objets "de base" : pas assez de couverts, pas assez de poëles et casseroles, pas de sacs poubelle, ni sel, ni poivre, etc.
