“Okay, so this hotel probably hasn't been updated since the 1980s. It reminds me of some places I stayed in St Petersburg in the early post-Soviet years. The halls smell very strongly of cigarettes (but my room did not).

“We arrived to the location that was stated in our booking. After many hours of driving we encountered the address that was provided by the hostel. It was difficult to locate this place since there was no clear sign or any other indication that we arrived at our accommodation.
