“Overall, my stay was quite good. The environment and location were great, and the host was very friendly. The only areas for improvement were: the seasonings were a bit limited – salt and pepper were almost gone; laundry detergent needed to be brought from home; and the shower water pressure was a little low. Aside from these, everything else was perfect, and I would gladly recommend this place.”

“The Buccaneer Beach Club was perfect stay. The staff friendly especially Candace at Front Desk. The grounds well kept. My room was immaculate. I would definitely stay there again. If there is a downside, which there is not. The Buccaneer does not host an eatery, but why would it. You have a kitchen to cook your own food. Microwave, hot stove, etc. Next door is the Salt Plage which has good food. Great staff too!”

The poor level of service and hospitality we received at this property has tarnished our view of the Marriot brand. The lack of regard for guests and their experience was deplorable. “Cottage was clean, A.C worked great. Kitchen and bathroom was clean just had an ant problem. I traveled alone, the unit was very spacious. The pool was decent. Able to walk to the beach just be mindful coming back is uphill. Not many choices of restaurants but they will call a taxi for you. Staff was super friendly, willing to help with and definitely made me feel comfortable and safe. I would stay here again”

“We very much enjoyed our stay at Hodges Bay Resort. We stayed for 6 nights in June 2026. As this is Antigua's off season, the resort was very quiet, with very few guests. We stayed in an ocean front deluxe room. The room perfect. It was very clean and spacious. The balcony overlooking the ocean was large.
