"This place is an absolute GEM of a location! There is beach access, a trail to the Devils Punchbowl, and views that do not end! The room was fabulous, and the staff was tremendous. A side note as well....the lobby coffee was awesome!!! Definitely will be returning!"

"I was quite surprised with all the hype about the Allred because it just seemed like every other room at every other hotel in Newport. I have been coming to Newport for years and this is a very old hotel that was purchased, the old part remodeled and a new addition added to the old part. My room was supposed to be a superior king with a fireplace and an ocean view. This is the top bracket other than the two-bedroom suites, and it fell short to say the least. It was on the first floor so mainly what I saw were the tops of the cars parked across the street. The front desk person when I checked in could not speak English very well. Then after around 8 p.m. good luck finding anyone for anything. I usually stay at Little Creek Cove Resort and that is defiantly where I will go on my next visit where a suite is really a suite."
